Kerri-Anne Dooley
Kerri-Anne Dooley is an Australian politician. She was elected member of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland for Redcliffe in the 2024 Queensland state election, after five unsuccessful times for the seat. In the 2012 Queensland state election she contested Redcliffe for the Family First Party. Since the 2014 by-election she has contested the seat for the Liberal National Party. She has lived in Redcliffe, Queensland all her life. Before politics, she worked as a registered nurse for over three decades, specializing in palliative care at Metro North Health. Metro North Health
Metro North Hospital and Health Service, known as Metro North HHS or as Metro North Health, is the most populous public health district in Queensland and the overarching health service for the statewide tertiary facility, the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. The service operates several hospitals, dental facilities, and community health services in Brisbane and the surrounds, including the covering the area north of the Brisbane River through to Kilcoy. Youth With A Mission (typically shortened YWAM, generally pronounced ) is an interdenominational Christian mission organization with a focus on missionary work and training for Christian missions. Founded by American missionary Loren Cunningham and his wife Darlene Cunningham in 1960, YWAM's stated purpose is to "know God and to make Him known". The organization pioneered self-funded short-term missions conducted by young people. Today, while maintaining its original youth-oriented ethos, the group has expanded its membership for those of older ages as well. 2012 Queensland State Election
The 2012 Queensland state election was held on 24 March 2012 to elect all 89 members of the Legislative Assembly, a unicameral parliament. The Labor Party (ALP), led by Premier Anna Bligh, was defeated by the opposition Liberal National Party (LNP), led by Campbell Newman in a landslide victory. It is only the sixth time that Queenslanders have ousted a sitting government since 1915. The ALP was attempting to win a ninth consecutive election victory, having won every general election since 1989, despite being out of office between 1996 and 1998.
