Kerber (band)
Kerber ( sr-cyr, Кербер, lit=Cerberus) is a Serbian and Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Yugoslav hard rock band formed in Niš in 1981. The mainstay members of Kerber are vocalist Goran Šepa, Goran Šepa "Gale", guitarist Tomislav "Tomica" Nikolić and keyboardist Branislav "Bane" Božinović. The Nebo je malo za sve, band's debut album, released in 1983, brought them nationwide popularity. Their following releases launched them to the top of the Yugoslav hard rock scene, with a number of their songs becoming hits, especially their power ballads with poetic lyrics written by lyricist Duško Arsenijević. Their sound has evolved from heavy rock on their debut album towards arena rock, melodic hard rock on their mid- and late 1980s releases. The band released their latest studio album in 1996 and during the 2000s performed occasionally only. Goran "Gale" Šepa ( sr-Cyrl, Горан "Гале" Шепа, born 10 September 1958) is a Serbian rock and heavy metal singer. He is best known as the lead singer for the Serbian and former Yugoslav hard rock band Kerber. Šepa is known for his melodic vocal style. Galija
Galija ( sr-cyr, Галија; ) is a Serbian and Yugoslav rock band formed in Niš in 1977. The central figures of the band are brothers Nenad Milosavljević (vocals, acoustic guitar and harmonica) and Predrag Milosavljević (vocals). A large numbrer of musicians passed through the band, with Milosavljević brothers and drummer Boban Pavlović being the only mainstay members. The band's first several releases were progressive rock-oriented, bringing them a loyal fanbase, but in the mid-1980s the band moved towards more mainstream-oriented sound. In the mid-1980s, the band was joined by guitarist Jean Jacques Roskam and multi-instrumentalist Bratislav "Bata" Zlatković. Festival Omladina
Festival Omladina (English: ''Youth Festival''), also known as Omladinski Festival, is a music festival held in Subotica, Serbia. The festival was founded in 1961 as a competition of young composers of popular music. Their compositions were initially performed by pop singers, but soon the performers of competing compositions became rock bands. In the 1970s, the non-competitive part, featuring established rock acts, was added to the program, and in the 1980s the festival became a competition of young rock bands. ''Nebo je malo za sve'' () is the debut studio album from Serbian and Yugoslav hard rock band Kerber, released in 1983. Background and recording Formed in Niš in 1981, Kerber spent first two years of their activity performing across Serbia and working on material for their debut album. The songs were composed by all of the members, while the lyrics were written by the band's drummer Zoran Stamenković. In May 1983, the band won the first place at Subotica Youth Festival with the song "Mezimac" ("Minion"), and in July went into the studio to record their debut album. The album was recorded during July 1983 in Aquarius Studio in Belgrade, and was produced by Gordon Rowley, bassist for the British heavy metal band Nightwing; Kerber members met Rowley while he was performing in Yugoslavia as a member of Peter Green's backing band, and after hearing the group's demo recordings, Rowley got interested in working with them.
