Kerascoët
Kerascoët is the joint pen name of the French illustrators, comics and animation artists Marie Pommepuy (born 1978) and Sébastien Cosset (born 1975). A married couple, they met while attending the Olivier de Serres art school. They chose their pen name in 2000 after the hamlet of Kerascoët in Névez, Brittany where Pommepuy grew up. Kerascoët have worked on numerous ''bandes dessinées'' as well as the animated television series '' Petit vampire'' and in advertisement. Several of their comics have been published in English by NBM Publishing, to critical acclaim. They were nominated for an Eisner Award for their comic ''Beautiful Darkness'', and for the Ignatz Award for Outstanding Graphic Novel for ''Beauty''. Névez (; ) is a Communes of France, commune in the Finistère Departments of France, department of Brittany (administrative region), Brittany, in north-western France. Malala's Magic Pencil
''Malala's Magic Pencil'' is a 2017 picture book authored by Malala Yousafzai and illustrated by Kerascoët. The book was published by Little, Brown and Company in the U.S., and Puffin Books in the U.K., with Farrin Jacobs as editor. It shows Yousafzai growing up in Swat, Pakistan, and wishing for a magic pencil to solve her problems; she learns that she is able to make change, such as advancing rights to female education, without one. The book has received very positive reviews, praising both Yousafzai's writing and Kerascoët's illustrations. The book appears on several lists of best children's books of 2017. ''Dungeon'' (French title: ''Donjon'') is a series of fantasy comic books created by Joann Sfar and Lewis Trondheim, with contributions from numerous other artists. It is originally published in France since 1998 by Delcourt as a series of graphic albums; English editions of a large amount of stories have been released by NBM Publishing between 2002 and 2023 in translations by Joe Johnson, first in a black-and-white periodical version and then as several color graphic novels. Fabien Vehlmann (born 30 January 1972) is a French comics writer best known for '' Green Manor'' and '' Seuls''. Yvan Delportecalled him " e René Goscinny of the third millennium". Biography Fabien Vehlmann, born in 1972 in Mont-de-Marsan, grew up in the Landes and the Savoie. He studied in Nantes. The Ignatz Awards recognize outstanding achievements in comics and cartooning by small press creators or creator-owned projects published by larger publishers. They have been awarded each year at the Small Press Expo since 1997, only skipping a year in 2001 due to the show's cancellation after the September 11 attacks. SPX has been held in either Bethesda, North Bethesda, or Silver Spring, Maryland. Hubert Boulard
Hubert Boulard (21 January 1971 – 12 February 2020) was a French comics writer and colorist usually credited mononymously as "Hubert". Biography Boulard attended the École régionale des beaux-arts d'Angers, and began writing comics in the 1990s, after befriending Yoann, who had encouraged him to start in the field of comics. As an illustrator, he worked with authors such as , Yoann, , Richard Malka, Paul Gillon, David Beauchard, and Jason.
