Kenya Police Football Club, also referred to as Police Football Club, is a professional association football club based in Nairobi, Kenya. The team currently competes in the Kenya Premier League. They play their home games at the Kenya Police Sacco Stadium. The club chairman Nyale Munga and the CEO is Chris Oguso. The club is owned and run by the Kenya Police. History Kenya Police F.C. was founded in 2014 by the player George Maelo, himself the son of a former Kenya Police officer. The board features representation from the Police service. As representatives of the police, with some being serving police officers, the serving players are liable for call up to the General Service Unit. In their first two years, the club was undefeated and earned consecutive promotions through the Kenyan football pyramid. The Kenya Police Service is a national body in charge of law enforcement in Kenya. It is subordinate to the National Police Service which is headed by an Inspector General of Police who exercises independent command over the Service. 2024-25 CAF Champions League
A coxless four, abbreviated as a 4- and also called a straight four, is a racing shell used in the sport of competitive rowing. It is designed for four persons who propel the boat with sweep oars, without a coxswain. The crew consists of four rowers, each having one oar. The General Service Unit (GSU) is a paramilitary wing (i.e. Police Field Force) in the Kenya Police Service, consisting of highly trained police officers, transported by seven dedicated Cessnas and three Bell helicopters. Having been in existence since 1948, the GSU has fought in a number of conflicts in and around Kenya, including the 1963 – 1969 Shifta War and the 1982 Kenyan coup.
