Kentucky Route 107 (KY 107) is a east–west state highway in west–central Kentucky. The western (southern) terminus of the route is an "end of state maintenance" terminus near the Fort Campbell military reservation south of Donaldson Creek near La Fayette, and its northern (eastern) terminus is at an intersection with U.s. Route 431 (US 431) in Lewisburg. Route description Christian County KY 107's southern terminus is located just south of the Christian County community of LaFayette, near an entrance to the Fort Campbell Military Reservation, falling just short of the Tennessee state line. The highway starts its course as LaFayette Road from there until downtown Hopkinsville. Kentucky Transportation Cabinet
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is Kentucky's state-funded agency charged with building and maintaining federal highways and Kentucky state highways, as well as regulating other transportation related issues. The Transportation Cabinet is led by the Kentucky Secretary of Transportation, who is appointed by the governor of Kentucky. The current Secretary is Jim Gray, who was appointed by Democratic Governor Andy Beshear. As of October 2012, KYTC maintains of roadways in the state. The KYTC mission statement is "To provide a safe, efficient, environmentally sound and fiscally responsible transportation system that delivers economic opportunity and enhances the quality of life in Kentucky." Interstate 169 (Kentucky)
Interstate 169 (I-169) is a freeway that travels along the former southern section of the Pennyrile Parkway in Kentucky. The highway was designated on May 7, 2017, after President Donald Trump signed legislation designating the route. It travels north from a trumpet interchange with I-24 south of Hopkinsville to a cloverleaf interchange with its parent, I-69, and the Western Kentucky Parkway near Nortonville. , I-169 is still signed as the Pennyrile Parkway. No signage for I-169 has yet been put up, although "Future I-169" signs are present along the route. I-169 signage is expected to be installed when required upgrades to the Parkway are completed. Pennyrile Parkway
The Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway was the designation for the controlled-access highway from Henderson to Hopkinsville, Kentucky. The parkway originally began at an interchange with the Audubon Parkway and US 41 near the city of Henderson. It travelled south through rolling hills to its former southern terminus at Interstate 24 (I-24) south of Hopkinsville. A section was left unconstructed from US 41 Alternate south to I-24 despite its approval in 1976 from the Parkway Authority for construction. This connection was completed and opened to the public on March 1, 2011. The first of the extension to the US 68 bypass (exit 6) were completed and opened to traffic in September 2008. The construction was then completed to exit 5, with the final section to I-24 opened on March 1, 2011. Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park
Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park is a park located near Dawson Springs, Kentucky in Christian County, Kentucky. The park encompasses and takes its name from a colloquial form of the word pennyroyal, a small flowering plant native to the area. Park features include a 24-room lodge with restaurant, 12 cottages, campground, multi-purpose trails, 18-hole golf course, and lake with non-motorized boat rentals. The park was sited around an existing lake, behind a dam originally built in 1938. Eagle Way
Eagle Way (also known locally as the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard or the Hopkinsville Bypass) is a major partial beltway that circles almost completely around the outer portions of the city of Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Route description The roadway includes the entire length of the US 68 Bypass and the first of Kentucky Route 1682. The road is located entirely in Christian County in western Kentucky. History The bypass originally only consisted of a extension of KY 1682 when it was first built at some time between 1973 and 1976. That road began life as a connector from KY 107 to US 41 on the north side of Hopkinsville. Construction of the initial bypass went under construction and was completed by 1999. The 1999 project also included re-routing the KY 1682 western terminus. A concurrency in a road network is an instance of one physical roadway bearing two or more different route numbers. When two roadways share the same right-of-way, it is sometimes called a common section or commons. Other terminology for a concurrency includes overlap, coincidence, duplex (two concurrent routes), triplex (three concurrent routes), multiplex (any number of concurrent routes), dual routing or triple routing. Kentucky Route 181 (KY 181) is a north–south state highway that traverses two counties in western Kentucky. Route description Todd County KY 181 starts at a crossroads junction with U.S. Route 79 and Kentucky Route 2128 located near the Tennessee state border in the town of Guthrie, in southern Todd County. This is about north of the state line separating Todd County from Montgomery County, Tennessee. KY 181 has junctions with KY 294 and then a crossroad intersection with US 41. Kentucky Route 189 (KY 189) is a state highway in Kentucky that runs from Kentucky Route 507 and Flat Rock Road west of Allegre to U.S. Route 62 northeast of Powderly via Fearsville.
