Kenton Harper (1801 – December 25, 1867) was an American newspaper editor, soldier, Indian agent, plantation owner, banker and politician. Harper was an officer of the Virginia militia then U.S. Army during the Mexican–American War, and later became a Confederate general officer during the American Civil War, and reportedly helped nickname Stonewall Jackson. Early and family life Harper was born in 1801 in the city of Chambersburg in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. He was a son of George Kenton Harper, publisher of the ''Franklin County Repository'' newspaper, and his wife Nancy McClintock. By the U.S. Census of 1860, Harper married Ellen Calhoun. They had four children together; two son's named Samuel and George Kenton, and two daughters named Nancy and Mary. Ellen's sister Catherine Calhoun also lived with the family at this time. Kenton Terry Richardson (born 26 June 1999) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for club Gateshead. Club career Richardson came through the youth team at Hartlepool United. Kenton "Factor" Grua (July 25, 1950 – August 25, 2002) was a Grand Canyon river guide. He was the first person in recorded history to hike through the Grand Canyon's entire length. In 1983, he set the speed record for rowing through the canyon in 37 hours. Background Kenton Grua was born and raised in Vernal, Utah. At age 12, Grua was enthralled by a whitewater rafting trip taken with his father on the Green River, a tributary of the Colorado River. Kenton Scott Edelin (May 24, 1962 – December 24, 2022) was an American basketball player and attorney. He played one season in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Edelin attended the University of Virginia, where he was not offered a basketball scholarship, instead playing his freshman year for the Cavaliers' junior varsity team. After growing two inches in his sophomore season, Edelin made the varsity team where as a senior he helped the team reach the 1984 Final Four. For his college career, Edelin averaged 3.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. After graduating from Virginia, Edelin was drafted in the seventh round (140th pick overall) of the 1984 NBA draft by the Indiana Pacers.
