Kenon
Kenon (russian: Кенон) is a fresh water body in the Chita District, Zabaykalsky Krai, Russia. The name of the lake originated in the Evenki language. The city of Chita is located near the lakeshore and lake Kenon is surrounded by residential areas, railways, highways and agricultural land. There is also a rather narrow city beach zone which is popular in the summer, although there is substantial pollution. Neolithic and Bronze Age archaeological remains were found by the shores of the lake. Geography Kenon lake is part of the Ingoda river basin, It is located in the Chita-Ingoda Depression (Читино-Ингодинская впадина), in the western outskirts of Chita, Zabaykalsky Krai. A few small streams flow into the lake. The main ones are the Ivanovka and Kadala rivers, which have their sources in the neighboring Yablonovy Range. Ivan-Arakhley Lake System
Ivan-Arakhley Lake System (russian: Ивано-Арахлейские озёра) is a group of fresh water bodies in the Chita District, Zabaykalsky Krai, Russia. The villages of Arakhley, Tasei and Preobrazhenka are located near the lakes. The lakes are a tourist attraction and there are holiday cottages and resorts near them. They are located within the Ivano-Arakhley State Natural Landscape Reserve ( Zakaznik), a protected area of regional significance created in 1995, covering an area of . Chita ( rus, Чита, p=tɕɪˈta, , ) is a city and the administrative center of Zabaykalsky Krai, Russia, located on the Trans-Siberian Railway route, roughly east of Irkutsk. Geography Chita lies at the confluence of the Chita and Ingoda Rivers, between the Yablonoi Mountains to the west and the Chersky Range to the east.
