Keno (singer)
Joaquin Francisco Sanchez (born June 16, 1962), more commonly known as Keno, is a Filipino writer and former singer and actor. He was popular from the late 1980s until 1991. As a singer, he popularized songs such as "A Friend", "Leaving Yesterday Behind", "On Wings of a Dream", "Want You to Cry Too", "Why Do I Love You", and "Wish". As an actor, Keno was in the cast of a teen-oriented action film, ''Ninja Kids'', playing the Yellow Ninja, in 1986. As an author, he published ''The Last Castrato'' in 2005, with I.M. Wolf Publishing. As in his song, Keno "left yesterday behind", leaving admirers and fans with much music and a children's movie. ''That's Entertainment'' is a Philippine television variety show broadcast by GMA Network. Originally hosted by German Moreno and Ike Lozada, it premiered on January 6, 1986. The show concluded on May 3, 1996 with a total of 3,200 episodes. Overview The show was created by German Moreno who initially wanted teenaged celebrity siblings to star in the show and name it as ''Brothers and Sisters''. After watching the American film ''That's Entertainment!'', Moreno decided to change the title of the show. Premiering on January 6, 1986 on GMA Network, the show featured sixteen teenagers (divided into 4 from Monday to Thursday and gathered all together on Friday).
