Kenneth T. Jackson
Kenneth T. Jackson (born July 27, 1939) is an urban, social, cultural historian, author, and academic. He is the Jacques Barzun Professor Emeritus of History at Columbia University, where he has also chaired the Department of History. Jackson has delivered lectures at colleges, universities, civic groups, and historical societies worldwide. The Skyscraper Museum is an architecture museum in the Battery Park City neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City, founded in 1996. The museum focuses on high-rise buildings as "products of technology, objects of design, sites of construction, investments in real estate, and places of work and residence." The New York Historical (known as the New-York Historical Society from 1804 to 2024) is an American history museum and library on the Upper West Side of Manhattan in New York City.
