Ken Niimura
Ken Niimura (born October 19, 1981), is a Spanish-Japanese author of graphic novels. He is best known for works like ''I Kill Giants'', 2012 International Manga Award winner that was adapted into a I Kill Giants (film), film in 2018; and ''Umami,'' winner of the 2019 Eisner Awards, Eisner Award for Best Digital Comic. Niimura has published original work in all major comics markets (US, Europe and Japan) and his works have been translated into some 12 languages. He currently lives and works in Tokyo. Biography Early life and education Niimura was born in Madrid in 1981 to a Japanese father and a Spanish mother. He begam his training with the artist Manuela Sánchez González and would later continue his studies at the Escuela de Arte La Palma (Madrid) alongside artist such as Pepe Larraz, Esther Gili and Carlos Salgado.
