Ken Heagy
Kenneth Heagy (born June 13, 1967) is an American professional stock car racing driver who competes full-time in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, driving the No. 18 for Christopher Fleming. His home track is Riverhead Raceway, where he has eight career wins in the modified division. Heagy is a long-time competitor of the tour, having made his debut at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park in 1987. Heagy has previously competed in the Modified Racing Series. Calverton, New York
Calverton is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) on eastern Long Island in Suffolk County, New York, United States. The population was 6,510 at the 2010 census. Most of Calverton is in the Town of Riverhead, while the area south of the Peconic River is a mostly undeveloped smaller portion in the Town of Brookhaven. History Calverton was first referred to as " Baiting Hollow Station" when the Long Island Rail Road arrived in 1844. The station closed in 1958, but the sheltered shed for the station remained standing as of 2007. The area's Native American name was ''Conungum'' or ''Kanungum'', meaning "fixed line" or "boundary". In 1868, the Calverton post office opened, named for Bernard J. Calvert. It remained a small farming community specializing in cranberries, which grew in swampy areas along the Peconic River until the Navy purchase. Riverside Park Speedway
Riverside Park Speedway was a 1/4-mile oval paved race track, located at the present site of Six Flags New England in Agawam, Massachusetts, one mile north of the Massachusetts–Connecticut state line. To capitalize on the nation's new attraction to auto racing following World War II, park owner Edward J. Carroll demolished the dance hall that had burned down in 1948. In its place laid out a flat 1/5-mile oval track, pit area and grandstand alongside the Connecticut River. The first full season of "modified" stock car racing was 1949. The track closed at the end of the 1999 season. Nazareth Speedway
Nazareth Speedway was an auto racing facility in Lower Nazareth Township, Pennsylvania, Lower Nazareth Township in the Lehigh Valley region of eastern Pennsylvania, which operated from 1910 to 2004. The racing facility operated in two distinct course configurations. In its early years, it was a Dirt track racing, dirt twin Oval track racing, oval layout. In 1987, it was reopened as a paved tri-oval that measured just slightly under 1 mile. The facility is often linked to local drivers Mario Andretti, Mario and Michael Andretti's early racing careers. It was also associated with Frankie Schneider due to his large number of wins on the two dirt tracks. As of November 2015, the site was purchased by Raceway Properties LLC under David Jaindl. There are no current plans to return racing to the facility. New Hampshire Motor Speedway
New Hampshire Motor Speedway (formerly known as the New Hampshire International Speedway from 1989 to 2007, the Bryar Motorsports Park from 1965 to 1989, and as the 106 Midway Raceway from 1961 to 1964) is a oval track in Loudon, New Hampshire. It has hosted various major races throughout its existence, including NASCAR, IndyCar, modified races, and the Loudon Classic. The venue has a capacity of 44,000 as of 2024. New Hampshire Motor Speedway is currently owned by Speedway Motorsports, LLC (SMI) and is led by track general manager David McGrath. Initially opening as a dirt oval in 1961 under the control of Keith Bryar, the motorsports complex was formed four years later after Bryar built a road course to host major motorcycle races. Richmond Raceway (RR) is a , ''D''-shaped, asphalt race track located just outside Richmond, Virginia in unincorporated Henrico County. It currently hosts one NASCAR Cup Series race weekend and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. It formerly hosted events such as the NASCAR Xfinity Series, International Race of Champions, Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown, and the USAC sprint car series.
