Kempler Video
The Kempler video is a film made by Roni Kempler, an amateur photographer, who was present at the crime scene before and during the assassination of Prime Minister of Israel Yitzhak Rabin on November 4, 1995. He was standing on the northeast side of the Tel Aviv City Hall and later on the roof of the "Gan Ha'ir" (City Park) mall overlooking the spot where Rabin was killed. History The filmmaker was Roni Kempler, by profession an accountant with the office of the State Comptroller of Israel who was also an amateur photographer; he frequently filmed events with his handheld video camera looking for special angles. Kempler's video has been described as "essentially the only video documentation of the killing". Nahum Barnea (; born October 23, 1944) is an Israeli journalist. Barnea writes for '' Yedioth Ahronoth''. He won the Israel Prize in 2007. Biography Nahum Borstein (later Barnea) was born in Petah Tikva. He served in the IDF in Nahal Mutznah. He earned a B.A. in history and political science from Hebrew University in Jerusalem. The Zapruder film is a silent 8 mm film, 8mm color motion picture sequence shot by Abraham Zapruder with a Bell & Howell home-movie camera, as United States President John F. Kennedy's motorcade passed through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963. It unexpectedly captured the Assassination of John F. Kennedy, President's assassination. Although it is not the only film of the shooting, the Zapruder film has been described as being the most complete, giving a relatively clear view from a somewhat elevated position on the side from which the president's fatal head wound is visible. It was an important piece of evidence before the Warren Commission hearings, and all subsequent investigations of the assassination. Yitzhak Rabin Assassination Conspiracy Theories
Conspiracy theories arose almost immediately following the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin on November 4, 1995. The perpetrator, Jewish Israeli law student Yigal Amir, was apprehended within seconds by people in the crowd. Rabin later died on the operating table at Ichilov Hospital. Amir confessed to the assassination of Rabin. The assassination was reported as a clear-cut matter in Israeli media, and the Shamgar national inquiry commission and the court all drew the same conclusion that Amir was guilty of murder. Nevertheless, some inconsistencies in the evidence have been alleged, both in the medical records and in the inquiry testimony. Carmi Gillon (; born January 1950) is an Israeli politician and a former Israeli ambassador to Denmark and head of Shin Bet, Israel's internal security service, from 1994 to 1996. After the 4 November 1995 assassination of Yitzhak Rabin, he attracted criticism for failing to provide adequate security. He graduated from the National Security College.
