Kelsey Brookes
Kelsey Ross Brookes (born 1978) is an artist who resides in San Diego, California. He is associated with RVCA, Pictures On Walls in London, Lazarides Gallery in London, as well as a number of other ongoing projects. Early life Born in 1978 in Denver, Colorado. Kelsey spent 2002 surfing and living out of a car in Australia. Upon returning from Australia he moved from Colorado to San Diego, California. Fine art and other projects In 2005 Kelsey Brookes left the science industry to pursue a full-time career in art. He began to develop a unique style of figurative art. In April 2006 Kelsey began a relationship with the San Diego, California, indie band Grand Ole Party doing the cover art for their EP release that year. Again, in 2007 Kelsey did the cover of GOP's LP album ''Humanimals''. Black Flag (band)
Black Flag is an American punk rock band formed in 1976 in Hermosa Beach, California. Initially called Panic, the band was established by Greg Ginn, the guitarist, primary songwriter, and sole continuous member through multiple personnel changes in the band. They are widely considered to be one of the first hardcore punk bands, as well as one of the pioneers of After breaking up in 1986, Black Flag reunited in 2003 and again in 2013. The second reunion lasted well over a year, during which they released their first studio album in nearly three decades, '' What The...'' (2013). Raymond Pettibon (born Raymond Ginn, June 16, 1957) is an American artist who lives and works in New York City. Pettibon came to prominence in the early 1980s in the southern California punk rock scene, creating posters and album art mainly for groups on SST Records, owned and operated by his older brother, Greg Ginn. Marcel Dzama
Marcel Dzama (born May 4, 1974) is a contemporary artist from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada who currently lives and works in New York City. His work has been exhibited internationally, in particular his ink and watercolor drawings. Education Dzama received his BFA from the University of Manitoba in 1997. Work Dzama works extensively in sculpture, painting, collage, and film. Margaret Kilgallen
Margaret Leisha Kilgallen (October 28, 1967 – June 26, 2001) was a San Francisco Bay Area artist who combined graffiti art, painting, and installation art. Though a contemporary artist, her work showed a strong influence from folk art. She was considered a central figure in the Bay Area Mission School art movement. Life and career Kilgallen was born in Washington, D.C., and grew up nearby in Kensington, Maryland. Because of her exposure to bluegrass music as a child, Kilgallen became an accomplished banjo player. Kilgallen herself described a personal interest in old-time music.
