Kelsey (Metro Station Song)
"Kelsey" is a song by American pop band Metro Station. It was released on August 7, 2007, as the first single from their debut studio album, ''Metro Station''. It was re-released on March 17, 2009, after the success of " Shake It" and "Seventeen Forever". In addition, the ''Kelsey EP'' was released on September 28, 2009. The UK version was released on November 27, 2009 and features a cover version of "Last Christmas". Background The song was produced by Justin Pierre and Josh Cain from the band Motion City Soundtrack. Pierre also sings backing vocals and Cain played bass on the song. The song was written about a girl named Kelsey, and is a ballad track with Mason Musso singing, "I'll swim the ocean for you." The track runs at 120 BPM and is in the key of C major. Metro Station (band)
Metro Station was an American pop rock band that was formed in Los Angeles, California by singer Mason Musso and bassist/guitarist Trace Cyrus. In late 2006, the band signed a recording contract with Columbia Records and RED Ink Records. The band is best known for the commercially successful hit single "Shake It (Metro Station song), Shake It" from the group's Metro Station (album), self-titled debut album. In 2010, tension between Cyrus and Musso caused the band to go on hiatus. In 2011, the band returned, however, it was announced that Cyrus was no longer a part of the group and Musso had purchased the rights to the name. In 2014, Cyrus returned to the group and a new drummer, Spencer Steffan, came to the group as well, and a new single entitled "Love & War" was released. Mason Tyler Musso (born March 17, 1989) is an American musician, singer and songwriter, best known for being the older brother of actor Mitchel Musso and former lead vocalist of Metro Station (band), Metro Station. He is also the lead vocalist for Social Order. Early life Mason Tyler Musso was born to Katherine (née Moore) and Samuel Musso in Dallas, Texas, on March 17, 1989. Soon after, his family moved to Rockwall, Texas. He has two younger brothers, Mitchel Musso, Mitchel and Marc, who are both actors. In 2006, Mitchel landed the role of List of Hannah Montana main characters#Oliver Oken, Oliver Oken on the Disney Channel children's comedy series ''Hannah Montana'', causing the Musso family to move to Burbank, California, Burbank, California.
