Kelly Michael Halliburton (born January 17, 1971) is an American bassist and drummer. He has been involved in bands including Pierced Arrows, Dead Moon, Detestation, Defiance, and Jenny Don't and the Spurs. Musical career Kelly Halliburton began his musical career in the late '80s in Portland, Oregon, joining several bands associated with the anarcho-punk scene, including Resist, Defiance, Deprived, and Detestation. His involvement reflected a dissatisfaction with the late-'80s Portland music scene, particularly the fusion of punk with heavy metal and funk metal In 1992, Resist embarked on their first European tour. In 1995 Halliburton founded Detestation, an American hardcore punk/crust band with female vocals. The band disbanded around 1998. Poison Idea was an American punk rock band formed in Portland, Oregon, in 1980. History Formation, 1980s, and 1990s Poison Idea was formed in 1980 by vocalist Jerry A. (aka Jerry Lang). The initial lineup consisted of Jerry A., Chris Tense (bass), and Henry Bogdan (later of Helmet) on drums. Jerry described this early version of the band, in which he sang and played sax, as a "kind of PIL thing" and only lasted a few shows. Jerry and Tense (now on guitar) then hooked up with Glen Estes (bass), and Dean Johnson (drums). Inspired by Black Flag and other early Southern California hardcore acts, they were further influenced by Discharge and Los Angeles's Germs. Doyle is an American horror punk band formed in 2012 by Misfits guitarist Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein and Cancerslug frontman Alex Story. Doyle has released two studio albums. Samuel William Henry (December 28, 1956 – February 20, 2022) born legally blind, was an American drummer, best known for his work with the punk rock group Wipers. He was inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame in 2011. Musical career In addition to the Wipers, other bands that Sam appeared in were The Rats, Napalm Beach, Poison Idea, Snow Bud & The Flower People, Jenny Don't and the Spurs, DON'T, and Morgan Grace. His early bands were a staple at Portland's legendary Satyricon. The band was formed by Art Alexakis, the band's lead songwriter, Lead vocals, vocalist, and guitarist, and for most of the band's height of popularity, consisted of Craig Montoya on bass guitar and Greg Eklund on drumkit, drums.
