Keith Barr (businessman)
Keith Barr (born July 1970) is an American businessman. He was the chief executive of InterContinental Hotels Group until July 2023, when he was succeeded by Elie W. Maalouf. Barr left IHG to return to the US. Education Barr has a degree from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration, where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Career Barr joined IHG in 2000, rising to CEO in July 2017, succeeding Richard Solomons. Prior to assuming the role of CEO, Keith spent four years as chief commercial officer, IHG. Richard Solomons
Richard Leslie Solomons (born 9 October 1961) is a British businessman. He was the chief executive of InterContinental Hotels Group until July 2017, when he was succeeded by Keith Barr. Career Solomons qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in 1985. He then worked in investment banking with Hill Samuel Bank for seven years, including two years in New York. He joined InterContinental Hotels Group in 1992. Solomons was at IHG for nearly two decades before taking the helm in 2011. He served as Chief Executive of Intercontinental Hotels from July 2011 to July 2017. Prior to this role, he was Chief Financial Officer, and before that Head of Commercial Development since June 2009. Elie and Earlsferry is a coastal town and former royal burgh in Fife, and parish, Scotland, situated within the East Neuk beside Chapel Ness on the north coast of the Firth of Forth, eight miles east of Leven. Greater China is an informal geographical area that shares commercial and cultural ties with the Han Chinese people.
