''Keiko'' is a special single by Lucerito, dedicated to the orca Keiko that starred in the first of the three Free Willy movies. When the whale was sold to the Reino Aventura (now Six Flags México), the label of Lucerito decided to release this single due to the fame of the whale. History Reino Aventura ("Adventure Kingdom" in English) was a park located in Tlalpan in Mexico City. It opened to the public in March 1982 as the biggest amusement park in Latin America. Lucero (actress)
Lucero Hogaza León (; born 29 August 1969) is an entertainer. She is a multi-platinum singer in Mexico and has sung in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. Lucero has sold more than 30 million records worldwide. She is often referred to as "La Novia de América" ("the Americas' Girlfriend"). As a child she starred in the popular Mexican children shows '' Alegrias de Mediodia'' and '' Chispita''. She went on to release a series of successful albums. Keiko (orca)
Keiko ( – 12 December 2003) was a male orca captured in the Atlantic Ocean near Iceland in 1979, and widely known for his portrayal of Willy in the 1993 film ''Free Willy''. In 1996, Warner Bros. and the International Marine Mammal Project collaborated to return Keiko to the wild. After years of being prepared for reintegration, Keiko was flown to Iceland in 1998 and in 2002, became the first captive orca to be fully released back into the ocean. On 12 December 2003, he died of pneumonia in a bay in Norway at the age of 27. Life Keiko was captured near Reyðarfjörður, Iceland in 1979 at the approximate age of two and sold to the Icelandic Aquarium in Hafnarfjörður. Tlalpan ( , 'place on the earth') is a Boroughs of Mexico City, borough (''demarcación territorial'') in Mexico City. It is the largest borough, with over 80% under conservation as forest and other ecologically sensitive area. The rest, almost all of it on the northern edge, has been urban since the mid-20th century. Marineland Of Canada
Marineland (official name Marineland of Canada Inc.) was a themed zoo and amusement park in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada that operated from 1961 until 2024. It was founded and operated by John Holer, a Slovenian immigrant, from 1961 until his death in 2018. He started with one tank and built the operation into a major attraction and employer. The park had performing marine animal shows, exhibits of marine and land animals, and amusement rides. The marine mammals included dolphins, sea lions, and beluga whales.
