Kamari Bay is situated at the southwestern end of the Greek island of Kos. It is a popular tourist destination. The bay is overlooked by the ancient cliff-top village of Kefalos (Greek: Κέφαλος) and is often referred to as Kefalos Bay or Kefalos Beach. Irakleides ( el, Ηρακλείδες) is a former municipality on the island of Kos, in the Dodecanese, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Kos, of which it is a municipal unit. Population 6,826 (2011). It is the largest in area of the three municipal units on the island, at 160.538 km², and comprises 55.3% of the island's territory. The seat of the municipality was in Antimacheia (pop. 2,205). Kardamaina
Kardámaina or Kardámena ( el, Καρδάμαινα), is a small Greek town 7 km from Kos Island International Airport at Antimacheia, situated mid-way along the south coast of the island of Kos. It lies in the municipal unit of Irakleides, in the Dodecanese. Once a small fishing village, it has been a popular summer destination for the past two decades, offering pubs, restaurants, bars, night clubs and watersports facilities.
