Kees Brusse
Kees Brusse (; 26 February 1925 – 9 December 2013) was a Dutch actor, film director and screenwriter. A self-taught actor, he was remarkable for his natural acting style at a time when more theatrical performances were the norm in The Netherlands. One of the first Dutch actors who managed to combine a stage and film career with a career on TV, radio and in commercials, he appeared in 47 films and television shows between 1936 and 2004, including ''Pension Hommeles'' (1957-1959), '' Ciske de Rat'' (1955), and ''Dokter Pulder zaait papavers'' (1975). Early life Kees Brusse was born in Rotterdam, the son of author and journalist M.J. Brusse and opera singer Antje Ebes. His parents divorced when he was young. Brusse started acting at a young age. Herbert Reinecker
Herbert Reinecker (24 December 1914 – 27 January 2007) was a very prolific German novelist, dramatist, screenwriter and former Nazi SS officer. Career Born in Hagen, Westphalia, Reinecker began to write short stories already as a high school student. In 1936 he moved to Berlin, where he became editor-in-chief of a youth magazine, ''Jungvolk''. In the same year he also co-authored a book, ''Jugend in Waffen'' (''Armed Youth''). This was a time when the Nazis had already been in power for three years and when the media had long been '' gleichgeschaltet''. In 1943 he joined the Nazi Party and worked as the editor-in-chief of a book entitled ''Der Pimpf'' about the training system of the Hitler Youth. Throughout World War II Reinecker served in a propaganda company of the Waffen SS. Bert Haanstra
Albert Haanstra (; 31 May 1916 – 23 October 1997) was a Dutch director of films and documentaries. His documentary ''Glass'' (1958) won the Academy Award for Documentary Short Subject in 1959. His feature film '' Fanfare'' (1958) was the most visited Dutch film at the time, and has since only been surpassed by ''Turkish Delight'' (1973). Early life Albert Haanstra was born on 31 May 1916 in Espelo, a small village near Holten, in the Netherlands. His father was Folkert Haanstra, a schoolteacher, and his mother Jansje Schuiveling. The film was directed by Wim Verstappen, written by Verstappen and Charles Gormley, and stars Hugo Metsers and Carry Tefsen. Pim De La Parra
Pim de la Parra (born 5 January 1940) is a Surinamese- Dutch film director. Between 1967 and 1976, he directed films under the independent production company Scorpio Films with Dutch film director Wim Verstappen, who manages all of its achievements. After a few short films, he began his career as an international director with ''Obsessions'' (1969), co-written by Martin Scorsese. Wim Verstappen
Wim Verstappen (4 May 1937 – 24 July 2004) was a Dutch film director and producer, television director, and screen writer. Verstappen grew up in Curaçao. He began studies at the Netherlands Film and Television Academy in 1961, and released his first movie in 1966, ''De minder gelukkige terugkeer van Joszef Katus naar het land van Rembrandt''. He joined the editorial staff of the film magazine ''Skoop'' in 1964, working alongside Nicolai van der Heyde, Gied Jaspars, and Pim de la Parra. From 1966 on he directed and produced films with De la Parra, and in 1967 they founded a production company, Scorpio Films, becoming known as 'Pim & Wim'. Among their productions was the 1971 explicit film ''Blue Movie'', which led to the abolition of the Dutch film rating system for adults.
