Keely Brown (goaltender)
Keely Brown is a former Canadian national level athlete who played ringette, roller in-line hockey, and ice hockey as a goaltender. She played for the Canada national ringette team, Canadian Senior National Ringette Team and was also a goalie on the Canada women's national inline hockey team, Canadian Women's National Inline Hockey team. Brown also played semi-professional ringette in Canada's National Ringette League and in semi-pro women's ice hockey. Brown currently works for the National Hockey League's, Edmonton Oilers as a Senior Legal Counsel, and works for the Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG). In ringette as an athlete, Brown has won the World Ringette Championships gold medal once, and the silver medal three times. She has won five more silver medals in coaching and consulting positions for the national Canadian ringette teams in both junior and senior levels. 2022 World Ringette Championships
The upcoming 2022 World Ringette Championships (WRC) is an international ringette tournament taking place in Espoo, Finland, at the Espoo Metro Areena, Espoo Tapiola Arena, and the Matinkylä ice rink between October 31 and November 6, 2022. It will be the 14th time the event has been held (XIV). The previous world championships, the WRC 2021, were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. All WRC events are organized by the International Ringette Federation (IRF). The National Ringette League (NRL), ''(french: Ligue Nationale de Ringuette, LNR)'', is the premier sports league for the sport of ringette in North America and Canada's national league for elite ringette players aged 18+. Alberta Sports Hall Of Fame And Museum
The Alberta Sports Hall of Fame is a hall of fame and museum in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, dedicated to the preservation and history of sports within the province. It was created in 1957 by the Alberta Amateur Athletic Union (AAAU). The museum was eventually taken over by Sport Alberta in 1973 when the AAAU ceased operations. 2016 FIRS World Inline Hockey Championships
The 2016 FIRS World Inline Hockey Championships was the 21st event hosted by the Comité International de Roller In-Line Hockey (CIRILH), an organization and discipline of the Fédération Internationale de Roller Sports (FIRS), held in Asiago and Roana in the Veneto region, Italy, between June 12–25, 2016. The four competitions were played at two venues, 6 kilometres from each other. The Pala Hodegart, which seats 2,200, is located in Asiago. Pala Robaan is located in Roana. 23 teams competed in the senior men's tournament, 17 teams in the senior women's, 18 teams in the junior men's and seven teams in the junior women's.
