Kazo is a town in the Western Region, Uganda, Western Region of Uganda. It is the capital of Kazo District. Location The town is approximately , by road, north of Mbarara, the largest city in the Ankole sub-region. It is about , by road, southwest of Kampala, the capital and largest city of Uganda. Regions Of Uganda
The regions of Uganda are known as Central Region, Uganda, Central, Western Region, Uganda, Western, Eastern Region, Uganda, Eastern, and Northern Region, Uganda, Northern. These four regions are in turn divided into Districts of Uganda, districts. There were 56 districts in 2002, which expanded into 111 districts plus one city (Kampala) by 2010. Ankole Sub-region
Ankole sub-region is a region in the Western Region of Uganda that consists of the following districts: * Buhweju District * Bushenyi District * Ibanda District * Isingiro District * Kazo District * Kiruhura District * Mbarara District * Mbarara City * Mitooma District * Ntungamo District * Rwampara District * Rubirizi District * Sheema District * Rubanda District * Kanungu District The area covered by the above districts constituted the traditional Ankole Kingdom. Milton Obote abolished the traditional kingdoms in Uganda in 1967. When Yoweri Museveni re-established them in 1993, Ankole did not re-constitute itself. Districts Of Uganda
As of 1 July 2020, Uganda is divided into 135 districts plus the capital city of Kampala, which are grouped into four Regions of Uganda, geographic regions. Since 2005, the Ugandan government has been in the process of dividing districts into smaller units. This decentralization is intended to prevent resources from being distributed primarily to chief towns and leaving the remainder of each district neglected. Each district is further divided into Counties of Uganda, counties and municipalities, and each county is further divided into Sub-counties of Uganda, sub-counties. Kazo District
Kazo is a district in Uganda's Western Region. It is located approximately west of Uganda's capital Kampala. It covers an area of and recorded a population of 177,054 in the 2014 Ugandan census. The capital of the district is the town of Kazo. Geography Kazo District is located in the pastoral rangelands of southwestern Uganda. It borders the districts of Kamwenge to the northwest, Kyegegwa to the northeast, Sembabule to the east, and Kiruhura to the south, and Ibanda to the west. Kazo District is located at an elevation of over above sea level. Its relief consists of low hills and rolling plains, which are drained by seasonal streams. John Nasasira
John Nwoono Nasasira is a Ugandan engineer and politician. He was most recently the Minister of Information and Communication Technology in the Cabinet of Uganda, but resigned as an MP in August 2016, citing "ill health." He was appointed to that position on 23 May 2013, replacing Ruhakana Rugunda. Before that, from 27 May 2011 until 23 May 2013, he served as the Chief Government Whip. Earlier, from 1996 until 2011, he served as the Minister of Works and Transportation. Mbarara
Mbarara City is a city in the Western Region, Uganda, Western Region of Uganda and the second largest city in Uganda after Kampala.
