Seyyed Kazem Vaziri Hamaneh (born 1945) is an Iranian engineer who served as oil minister from 2005 to 2007. Early life and education Hamaneh was born in Yazd in 1945. He holds a mechanical engineering degree, which he received from Polytechnique University. He also received a master's degree in management. 2005 Iranian Presidential Election
Presidential elections were held in Iran 17 June 2005, with a second round run-off on 24 June. Mohammad Khatami, the previous President of Iran, stepped down on 2 August 2005, after serving his maximum two consecutive four-year terms according to the Islamic Republic's constitution. The election led to the victory of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the hardline mayor of Tehran, with 19.48% of the votes in the first round and 61.69% in the second. Gholam Hossein Nozari (born 1954) is a conservative Iranian politician who served as oil minister from 2007 to 2009. He was nominated secretary general of the OPEC in June 2012. Early life and education Nozari was born in Kazeroon, Iran, in 1954. He studied petroleum and earth science engineering at Shahid Chamran University. Bijan Namdar Zangeneh ( fa, بيژن نامدار زنگنه; born 21 September 1952) is an Iranian politician, who served as minister, at different cabinets after the Islamic Revolution, for 30 years.
