Kay Alden
Priscilla Kay Alden (born October 24, 1946) is an American television writer and the former head writer for the soap opera, ''The Young and the Restless''. Career Alden began writing for ''The Young and the Restless'' as a script writer in 1974 while researching her dissertation at the University of Wisconsin-Madisonbr>She was promoted to associate head writer in 1987, then to co-head writer in 1997 She took over as head writer the following year when series co-creator William J. Bell stepped down from the position. With Alden as head writer, the show lost about two million viewers (most of the loss occurred in 2004 when Alden co-wrote the show with longtime ''Y&R'' scribe and producer John F. Smith), but all soap operas during that period experienced a similar scale of massive audience erosion. Financial Core
Financial Core (also known as FiCore or Fi-Core) refers to a legal carve out that permits workers opposed to participating in a labor union to be employed under the benefits of a union's contracts without compelling them to be a member of that union. The term "Financial Core" was first used in a 1963 United States Supreme Court decision, ''National Labor Relations Board v. General Motors''. The court determined, while workers cannot be compelled to be a union "member" as a condition of employment, they would be compelled to pay their share of a union's collective bargaining activities. Lynn Marie Latham is an American television writer, producer, and showrunner. Her initial foray into writing for television was as a story editor for the series '' Berrenger's'' in 1985. Trent Jones is an American soap opera writer, singer, and actor. Life and career Jones is a graduate of Choate Rosemary Hall school in Wallingford, Connecticut. He began playing rock star Ken George Jones on the ABC soap opera ''Ryan's Hope''. As well as acting in the role, Jones sang and composed some of his character's songs.
