Kavvai Puzha River
The Kavvayi River basin is located between 120 05’ to 120 15’ North latitude and 750 05 ‘ to 750 20’ East longitude. It spreads over the district of Kannur and Kasargod. It has a total area of 164.76 km2 covering 14 villages spread over 9 local bodies in the two districts. Kavvayi River or Thattar River emerges from the Cheemeni Kunnu at elevation 114 m. above MSL having a length of 31 km and joining directly to Kavvai backwater. Kavvayi River is typical among the 14 midland-originated rivers in Kerala. It has a watershed area confined to midland hillocks and their valley. Kannur
Kannur (), formerly known in English as Cannanore, is a city and Municipal corporation (India), municipal corporation in the state of Kerala, India. Kasargod
Kasaragod () is a municipal town and the administrative headquarters of the Kasaragod district in the state of Kerala, India. Established in 1966, Kasaragod was the first municipal town in the district. It is the northernmost district of Kerala and is also known as ''Sapta Bhasha Sangama Bhumi'' ('The Land of Seven Languages'). Cheemeni is a small town in Hosdurg taluk of Kasaragod district in the state of Kerala, India. Kankole
Kankol is a village in Kannur district of Kerala state in India. Kankol village is a part of Kankol Alapadamba Grama Panchayath, which had won the Swaraj Trophy (1999–2000) for the best grama panchayath in Kerala state.
