Kauko Armas Nieminen
Kauko Armas Nieminen (15 February 1929 – 2010) was a Finnish self-taught physicist. Nieminen was born in Kuopio, Finland. Although he was most known for his work in physics, he had no academic training or degree in physics and was entirely self-taught. He had a bachelor's degree in law from the University of Helsinki. Nieminen's research and theories in physics were unusual. The basis of his work was the theory of "ether vortices". In principle, the theory claims that the universe is full of Luminiferous aether, ether, and as the ends of the ether come close to each other, vortex, vortices appear. The center of a vortex is an elementary particle. Nieminen claimed his theories could explain gravity, Quantum mechanics, quantum phenomena, ball lightnings, and the creation of the world. Kauko Kustaa Helovirta (Hellström, 21 October 1924 – 13 September 1997, Helsinki, Finland) was a Finnish film actor. Helovirta was born in Juupajoki, and started his acting career in 1950. Kauko Käyhkö (5 April 1916 – 8 April 1983) was a Finnish all-round entertainer – singer, songwriter, musician, actor, and writer – with a career spanning nearly half a century. Early life and education Käyhkö was born in Petrograd (now St Petersburg) in 1916, while the Grand Duchy of Finland was still part of the Russian Empire, to railway conductor Juho Käyhkö and Aina Palmros. He completed junior high school, and went on to study construction, qualifying in 1940 as a master builder (''rakennusmestari''), although he never practised his trade. Career Käyhkö is first and foremost remembered as a singer. He was a founding member of one of the leading post-war voice ensembles, the Kipparikvartetti quartet, established in 1950, where he sang 2nd bass. Kauko Tapio Nieminen (born 29 August 1979, in Seinäjoki) is a Finnish former speedway rider who earned 18 caps for the Finland national speedway team. Career summary Nieminen started his United Kingdom career with the Workington Comets in 2002 and was with them every season until 2008 except for 2006, when he rode for the Glasgow Tigers. In 2004, he was part of the Workington four that won the Premier League Four-Team Championship, which was held on 21 August 2004, at the Derwent Park. In 2006, he represented Finland in the 2006 Speedway World Cup. Nieminen was known by both Workington and Glasgow fans as 'The Flyin Finn' because of his racing style, which produces some high speed passing. Kauko Antero Pirinen (10 January 1915, in Eno – 31 May 1999, in Helsinki), was a Finnish historian, professor in church history at Helsinki University from 1961, and professor in general church history 1963–80. Pirinen was one of the leading 20th-century historians in Finland and one of the country's excellent church historians. Kauko Röyhkä, (born Jukka-Pekka Välimaa, 12 February 1959, Valkeakoski), is a Finnish Rock music, rock musician, author and screenwriter. Since the early 1980s he has been a popular rock artist in Finland known especially as a strong lyricist. Röyhkä lived his youth in Oulu and has later lived in Turku and Helsinki. His recording career began in 1980 with the debut album ''Steppaillen''. To date he has recorded 23 full-length albums.
