Katrina Robinson
Katrina Robinson (born January 13, 1981) is an American former politician who served in the Tennessee State Senate, Tennessee Senate from the Tennessee's 33rd Senate district, 33rd district from 2019 to 2022 as a member of the Democratic Party (United States), Democratic Party. She was the first sitting member of the state senate to be indicted since Operation Tennessee Waltz and later became the first person to ever be expelled from the state senate. Robinson was born in Memphis, Tennessee, educated at the University of Memphis and Union University, and founded a nursing college in 2015. She was elected to the state senate in the 2018 election after defeating incumbent Senator Reginald Tate (politician), Reginald Tate in the Democratic primary. Robinson was indicted on forty-eight charges relating to the embezzlement of $600,000 from federal grants to her nursing school in 2020. Tennessee's 33rd Senate District
Tennessee's 33rd Senate district is one of 33 districts in the Tennessee Senate. It has been represented by Democrat London Lamar since 2022, following her appointment by the Shelby County Commission after Katrina Robinson was expelled by the Senate. By most measures, it is the most Democratic-leaning district in the state. Geography District 33 is based in South and Southwest Memphis, also covering small parts of Germantown, Collierville, and other Shelby County suburbs. The district is located almost entirely within Tennessee's 9th congressional district, with a very small section extending into the 8th district. Sara Kyle
Sara Peery Kyle (born October 21, 1952) is an American attorney and politician, and currently represents the 30th district in the Tennessee Senate. She became the second woman to elected to statewide office in Tennessee when she won the race for Public Service Commissioner in 1994. Kyle is a Senate member of the 109th through 111th General Assemblies. Life Kyle was born in 1952 to Bruce and Emma Gene Clement Peery of Dickson, Tennessee and was a 1970 graduate of Dickson High School. She is the niece of Frank G.
