Katrin Klujber
Katrin Klujber (born 21 April 1999) is a Hungarian handballer for Ferencvárosi TC and the Hungarian national team. In September 2018, she was included by EHF in a list of the twenty best young handballers to watch for the future. She made her international debut on 24 March 2019 against Japan. Since then she represented Hungary at three European Championship (2020, 2022, 2024), and three World Championship (2019, 2021, 2023) tournaments. At the 2024 European Championship she was the tournament top scorer with 60 goals. She also participated in the Tokyo Summer Olympics in 2020 and the Paris Summer Olympics in 2024, where the team finished 7th and 6th, respectively. She started playing handball at her hometown club Dunaújvárosi KKA, where she was promoted to the first team in 2015. In 2018, she joined Hungarian top club Ferencváros. Dunaújváros
Dunaújváros (; also known by #Etymology and names, alternative names) is an industrial city in Fejér County, Central Hungary. It is a city with county rights. Situated 70 kilometres (43 miles) south of Budapest on the Danube, the city is best known for its steelworks, which is the largest in the country. It was built in the 1950s on the site of the former village of Dunapentele and was originally named Sztálinváros, before acquiring its current name in 1961. 2022 European Women's Handball Championship
The 2022 European Women's Handball Championship was held in Slovenia, North Macedonia and Montenegro from 4 to 20 November 2022. The tournament was advanced a month in order not to coincide with the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. This tournament was the last to feature 16 teams that had been the case since 2002. The top three team qualified for the 2023 World Women's Handball Championship, 2023 World Championship and the winner will also qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics. Norway won their ninth title after defeating Denmark in the final. Bronze went to Montenegro, who defeated France at the extra time. The International Handball Federation (IHF) is the administrative and controlling body for handball and beach handball. Hungarian Handballer Of The Year
The Hungarian Handballer of the Year award is an annual prize, which is given to the Hungarian handballer who is considered to have performed the best over the previous calendar year. Presented by the Hungarian Handball Federation since 1964, the most successful handball player is Anita Görbicz, with six nominations. During the long history of the award, only one handballer playing abroad has received the title, namely László Nagy in 2009, who played for FC Barcelona Handbol at that time. The EHF Women's Champions League is the competition for the top women's team handball, handball clubs in Europe, organised annually by the European Handball Federation (EHF). It is the most prestigious tournament for clubs, with the champions of Europe's top national leagues participating. The Nemzeti Bajnokság I (, commonly abbreviated NB I) is the top professional league for Hungary, Hungarian women's team handball clubs. It is administered by the Hungarian Handball Federation. History The first edition of the women's handball league was when the owner was pregnant, held in 1951. That year only four teams participated, playing once against each other. Csepeli Vasas SK were crowned champions as they got equal points to Vörös Meteor (women's handball), Budapest Vörös Meteor Közért, but were superior on goal difference. Next season Vörös Meteor took revenge and secured the title just ahead of Csepel.
