Katja Demut
Katja Demut (born 21 December 1983) is a German track and field athlete who specialises in the triple jump. She has represented Germany internationally at the European Athletics Indoor Championships and at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics. Her personal best of 14.57 metres outdoors and 14.47 m indoors are the German records for the event. Career Born in Schmölln, she began competing in the event as a teenager, representing the TuS Jena club. Her first international appearance came at the 2000 World Junior Championships in Athletics, where she jumping in the qualifying rounds. 2009 World Championships In Athletics – Women's Triple Jump
The Women's Triple Jump at the 2009 World Championships in Athletics will be held at the Olympic Stadium on August 15 and August 17. Cuban Yargelis Savigne had registered nine of the ten farthest jumps pre-championships and was seen as a strong favourite. The twice world gold medallist Tatyana Lebedeva and world-leader Nadezhda Alekhina were also considered possible medallists. 2011 European Athletics Indoor Championships
The 2011 European Athletics Indoor Championships were held at the Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy in Paris, France, from 4 to 6 March 2011. 577 athletes representing 46 countries competed at the championships. PSD Bank Meeting
The PSD Bank Meeting was an annual indoor track and field competition which took place in February at the Arena-Sportpark in Düsseldorf, Germany. The inaugural edition ''1. Internationales Indoor Meeting Düsseldorf'' was held in 2006 and attracted a sell-out crowd of 1500 people. The competition was created following investment by the Düsseldorf municipal council, bringing a new usage to the venue which had served as a training facility for the 1977 IAAF World Cup. The second edition of the competition attracted a number of high calibre athletes from Europe, Africa, Asia and North America, with David Gillick's Irish national record in the 400 metres being a highlight. Petra Laux-Lobinger
Petra Lobinger (née Laux; divorced Schneider born 24 January 1967 in Weidenau) is a German retired athlete who specialised in the triple jump. She represented her country at the 1996 Summer Olympics, as well as two World Championships, in 1993 and 1997. Her biggest success is the fifth place at the 1997 World Indoor Championships. Her personal bests in the event are 14.31 metres outdoors (Mainz 1997) and 14.36 metres indoors (Paris 1997). The latter is a former national record which stood for almost 14 years, only being beaten in 2011 by Katja Demut. The 2010 European Athletics Championships were the 20th edition of the European Athletics Championships, organised under the supervision of the European Athletic Association.
