Katinka Andrássy
Countess Katalin Károlyi (née Countess Katalin Andrássy de Csíkszentkirály és Krasznahorkai; 21 September 1892 – 12 June 1985) was a Hungarian people, Hungarian noblewoman and the wife of Count Mihály Károlyi, who served as Prime Minister of Hungary, Prime Minister then President of Hungary, President of the First Hungarian Republic after the First World War. They lived abroad since 1919. She was called by political opponents as Red Countess after her husband. Family Her father was Count Tivadar Andrássy, a politician and painter, eldest son of Prime Minister of Hungary Gyula Andrássy. She was named after her grandmother, Countess Katinka Kendeffy. ''Ved Vejen'' (meaning ''By the Wayside'' or ''At the Roadside'') is a short novel written by the Danish author Herman Bang in 1886. It was originally published in Copenhagen by Det Schubotheske Forlag as part of a collection of four stories entitled ''Stille Eksistenser'' (''Quiet Existences''), centering on women who are subdued or living in isolation. It was first published independently in 1898. An impressionist novel, it relates the story of Katinka, a sensitive but ambitious young woman married to a boisterous and somewhat vulgar station master, Bai. Katinka Szijj (born February 25, 1993) is a female shooter from Hungary. She got acquainted with shooting by chance in 2004 on a local sport day. She and her family soon realized that she had a talent for the sport, and so she applied for membership at the local club, Komáromi VSE, along with her younger sister, Kamilla, who also became a shooter.
