Kathleen Eagle
Kathleen Eagle (née Pierson; born November 8, 1947) is an American author of over 40 romance novels. Biography Kathleen Pierson was born on November 8, 1947, in Virginia and traveled throughout her childhood with her military family. She has a sister and a brother. She received her B.A. in English literature from Mount Holyoke College in 1970 and her M.S. from Northern State University. In 1970, she married Clyde Spencer Eagle, who is Lakota Sioux. They have three children and three grandchildren, and reside in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her first novel, published in 1984, was a Romance Writers of America Golden Heart Award winner. She has since won numerous awards including the Romance Writers of America's RITA award. Susan Kyle, née Susan Eloise Spaeth (born December 11, 1946, in Cuthbert, Georgia, United States) is an American writer who was known as Diana Palmer and has published romantic novels since 1979. She has also written romances as Diana Blayne, Katy Currie, and under her married name Susan Kyle and a science fiction novel as Susan S. Kyle. Before writing fiction, she was a journalist for sixteen years under her birth name. Now, she has over 150 books in print, more of them translated and published around the world. ''Madeline'' is a media franchise that originated as a series of children's books written and illustrated by Ludwig Bemelmans, an Austrian-American author. The books have been adapted into numerous formats, spawning telefilms, television series and a live action feature film. As a closing line, the adaptations invoke a famous phrase Ethel Barrymore used to rebuff curtain calls, "That's all there is, there isn't any more". Joan Elliott Pickart (d. November 13, 2018) was an American writer of over 100 romance novels, who also wrote under the pen name Robin Elliott. Biography Pickart was one of three daughters of Robert G. Elliott, an Episcopal pastor in Detroit, Michigan and Douglas, Arizona. She graduated from Douglas High School before attending Arizona State University. In 1982, she was employed as a secretary at Amphitheater High School, Tucson, Arizona, when she began writing romance novels after taking a course at Pima Community College. Her first published novel, ''Breaking All the Rules'', was bought by Bantam Books in winter 1983-84 for their Loveswept range, and appeared in summer 1984. Emilie Richards is an American author of over 50 contemporary romance and mystery novels. Early years Emilie Richards was born in Bethesda, Maryland and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. After receiving an undergraduate degree in American studies from Florida State University, Richards earned a master's degree in family development from Virginia Tech. She worked as a therapist in a mental health center, before becoming a parent services coordinator for families enrolled in Head Start and then working in several pastoral counseling centers.
