Katherine Victor
Katherine Victor (born Katena Ktenavea; August 18, 1923 – October 22, 2004) was an American actress, perhaps best known for her roles in Ron Ormond's '' Mesa of Lost Women'' (1953) and a number of Jerry Warren's films. She was also known as Katina Vea. Early years Victor was born in the Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan, neighborhood of New York City, but she grew up in Los Angeles. Career Victor began acting in the late 1940s, working on stage and on radio. Her film debut came in '' Mesa of Lost Women'' (1953). Teenage Zombies
''Teenage Zombies'' is a 1959 science fiction horror film written, produced, edited and directed by Jerry Warren, and starring Katherine Victor, Don Sullivan, Chuck Niles and Warren's then-wife and production manager Brianne Murphy. Warren wrote the screenplay under his pen name Jacques Lecoutier (which he frequently misspelled in the credits). Film historian Bill Warren wrote "This dreadful, leaden and depressingly cheap film does have one unusual aspect... it was actually made by Jerry Warren in its entirety." The Margaret Herrick Library, located in Beverly Hills, California, is the main repository of print, graphic and research materials of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). The library contains a digital repository and has historical materials that include those relating to the Oscars awards show. Collection The library has in excess of 1,000 collections including original film scripts, movie production records, correspondence and other materials pertaining to movie studios, production companies, individuals, and professional organizations. Fred Olen Ray (born September 10, 1954) is an American film producer, director, and screenwriter of more than 200 low-to-medium-budget feature films in many genres, including horror, science fiction, action/adventure, erotic thrillers, crime dramas, and holiday films. Ray is the head of Retromedia, which releases DVDs of both his own productions and archival films. He has also worked for other well-known independent studios and on a few occasions for major Hollywood studios. He has been cited as an inspiration for many independent filmmakers. Phil Tucker
Phil Tucker (May 22, 1927 – November 30, 1985) was an American film director, producer, writer, and editor. While Tucker directed his first six feature films in the span of two years (while still in his mid-20s), he is best known for his first film, the science fiction B movie '' Robot Monster'', often considered an example of "so bad it's good" film-making in the Ed Wood vein, and for the Lenny Bruce movie '' Dance Hall Racket'' featuring Bruce's wife Honey Harlow. In 1952, he was reportedly offered $300,000 to make a sympathetic biopic about Lucky Luciano. In December 1953, he attempted suicide in response to the poor reception of ''Robot Monster'' and his subsequent inability to find work.
