Kateřina Matoušková
Katherina Matousek (born as Kateřina Matoušková; April 20, 1964) is a former pair skater who competed for Canada. As a junior skater, she won a regional junior pairs title skating with Brad Starchuk. Early in her career, she also competed with Eric Thomsen. She joined forces with partner Lloyd Eisler in 1982. In 1984, they won the gold medal at the Canadian Championships and competed in the Olympics, finishing eighth. The next year they won the bronze medal at the 1985 World Championships. Skate America
Skate America is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU), organized and hosted by U.S. Figure Skating. The first Skate America was in held in 1979 in Lake Placid, New York, as a test event for the Figure skating at the 1980 Winter Olympics, 1980 Winter Olympics. When the ISU launched the ISU Champions Series, Champions Series (later renamed the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, Grand Prix Series) in 1995, Skate America was one of the five qualifying events. It has been a Grand Prix event every year since. Medals may be awarded in single skating, men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The Nebelhorn Trophy is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU), organized and hosted by the German Ice Skating Union () and held in Oberstdorf, Germany. The competition debuted in 1969 and is named after the Nebelhorn, a nearby mountain. When the ISU launched the ISU Challenger Series in 2014, the Nebelhorn Trophy was one of the inaugural competitions. The Nebelhorn Trophy has been a Challenger Series every year since.
