Kate Elizabeth Cameron Maberly (; born 14 March 1982) is an English actress, director, writer, producer, and musician. She has appeared in film, television, radio and theatre. Early life Maberly was born in Reigate, Surrey, England. She is the daughter of a lawyer and one of five children; her older sister Polly is also an actress. She has two older brothers, Thomas and Guy, and one younger brother, Jack. Maberly attended Dunottar School, Reigate where she skipped ahead a year and left with A-levels in maths, chemistry, history and music. Maberly began swimming competitively at the age of 5 and was a county champion swimmer up to the age of 16. Reigate
Reigate ( ) is a town in Surrey, England, around south of central London. The settlement is recorded in Domesday Book in 1086 as ''Cherchefelle'' and first appears with its modern name in the 1190s. The earliest archaeological evidence for human activity is from the Paleolithic and Neolithic, and during the Roman period, tile making took place to the north east of the modern centre. A motte-and-bailey castle was erected in Reigate in the late 11th or early 12th century. It was originally constructed of timber, but the curtain walls were rebuilt in stone about a century later. In the first half of the 13th century, an Augustinian priory was founded to the south of the modern town centre.
