Kat (band)
Kat (stylized as KAT) is a Polish heavy metal band formed in Katowice in 1979. The word "kat" means ''executioner''. KAT is considered one of the most influential bands in Polish and Central European heavy metal, and is also mentioned as one of the main precursors of thrash. KAT's most famous album is " Oddech wymarłych światów" (''The Breath of Extinct Worlds''), considered an opus of Polish heavy metal. The band is best known for tracks "Czas zemsty" ''(Time of revenge)'', "Łza dla cieniów minionych" ''(A tear for the shadows gone)'' and "Wyrocznia" ''(Oracle)''. History KAT was founded in 1979 by guitarist Piotr Luczyk. Running Wild (band)
Running Wild is a German heavy metal band formed in Hamburg in 1976. They were part of the German heavy/power/speed metal scene to emerge in the early to mid-1980s and are considered part of the scene's "big four" alongside Grave Digger, Helloween and Rage. Over the course of their career, they have released 17 studio albums, three live albums, five compilation albums, and six singles/EPs. Although their earlier releases contained Satanic themes and imagery, from the third album on, the band's primary subject matter was pirates, sailing and other historical events. In popular music, a cover version, cover song, remake, revival, or simply cover is a new performance or recording by a musician other than the original performer or composer of the song. Six Feet Under is an American death metal band from Tampa, Florida, formed in 1993. Józef Franciszek Skrzek (born 2 July 1948, Siemianowice, Silesia, Poland) is a Polish multi-instrumentalist, singer, and composer, an important figure in Polish rock. Life In his early career, Skrzek was associated with the groups Ślężanie, Ametysty and Breakout. In 1971, he created the progressive-rock group Silesian Blues Band (with Jerzy Piotrowski and Apostolis Anthimos) and also recorded for a time with Czesław Niemen. Jarocin Festival was one of the biggest and most important rock music festivals in 1980s Europe, by far the biggest festival of alternative music in the Warsaw Pact countries.
