Kasturi Shankar () is an Indian singer who sings mainly in Kannada language. She has recorded few films songs in Malayalam and Tulu languages and many non-film songs in Konkani, Tamil, Sanskrit, Telugu and Hindi. Shankar has sung different kind of songs like film, devotional, Bhaavageethe, classical and folk songs. In her 30 years singing career, Kasturi has worked with a variety of music composers, including T. G. Lingappa, M. Ranga Rao, Vijaya Bhaskar, Rajan–Nagendra, Gunasingh, G. K. Venkatesh and others. BBMP
Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) was the administrative body responsible for civic amenities and some infrastructural assets of the Greater Bengaluru metropolitan area. It was the fourth largest Municipal Corporation in India and was responsible for a population of 8.4 million in an area of 741 km2. Its boundaries expanded more than 10 times since the 1950s. It was replaced by the Greater Bengaluru Authority on 15 May 2025, however the BBMP will continue to administer the city until the new Authority is fully operational. Rajyotsava Award
The Rajyotsava Prashasti or Rajyotsava Award, the second highest civilian honor of the Karnataka state of India are conferred annually by the Karnataka Government on the occasion of the establishment of the state on 1 November, celebrated as the Kannada Rajyotsava. The awards are presented in Bengaluru by the Chief Minister of Karnataka on 1 November of every year. Each award carries an amount of 100,000, a 20-gram gold medal and a citation. Shubraveshti Ramaswamiah Seetharama Sharma (1 December 1933 – 5 June 1985), known popularly as S. R. Puttanna Kanagal, was an Indian filmmaker known for his work in Kannada cinema. Aarathi
Aarathi (born as Bharathi in 1954) is a former Indian actress and director who prominently worked in Kannada films during the 1970s and 1980s. Kamala Kumari (6 January 1945 – 26 July 2021), known by her stage name Jayanthi, was an Indian actress known for her work in Kannada cinema and Telugu cinema.
