Kash-m-kash
''Kash-m-kash'' is a TV show broadcast on Doordarshan's DD Metro channel in 1995. The show stars Javed Jaffrey, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, Aly Khan, Nisha Singh, Aparna Kumar and others. Kash-m-kash TV series made it to the Top 10 series on DD Metro for many weeks running. The music and songs from Kash-m-Kash were released independently to popular demand on then newly privatized Radio Channels. It was a 26-episode series, written by Haseena Moin and produced and directed by Chanda Narang. Chanda Narang was a Delhi-based Director-Producer of documentary films. Her most popular one being on the Ayodhya and Babri Masjid controversy, released under the title Ayodhya; a City Under Siege. Narang's documentary India's elections '91; The Temple Or The Mosque was released on Englands Channel 4 on 19 May 1991. DD Metro
DD Metro also known as DD 2 was an Indian free-to-air television channel. It was launched in 1984 as DD2 in Delhi as an alternative to DD National. Later, it increased its coverage area by expanding to Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. In 1993, the channel was rebranded as DD-2 Metro. On 3 November 2003, the Prasar Bharati Corporation replaced DD Metro with their new news channel, DD News. DD Metro programming consisted of many genres of television programmes, including family dramas boasting women as main characters, comedies, reality TV shows and others. The channel's prime-time shift Metro Gold was a landmark in Indian television history, and it replaced Star Plus as the top Hindi-language entertainment channel in 2000 and 2001. Javed Jaffrey
Syed Jaaved Ahmed Jaaferi (born 4 December 1963) is an Indian actor, dancer, and comedian who has appeared in Hindi films and television shows. He is son of the comedian Jagdeep. He joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in March, 2014 and contested the 2014 Indian general election from the Lucknow constituency, finishing fifth. Professional work Javed Jaffrey is the son of comedian Jagdeep. He dubbed Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Don Karnage in Hindi for Disney and scripted the Hindi version of Disney's Jungle Book 2 and Pixar The Incredibles as well as voicing the antagonist. He played Charlie Anna in the animated film Roadside Romeo, a collaborative effort of Yash Raj Films and Disney. He has commentated on the Japanese TV show Takeshi's Castle and Ninja Warrior on Pogo TV and Hungama respectively. Suchitra Krishnamoorthi is an Indian actress, model and singer known for her works in Hindi cinema, South cinema, and Television. Early life Suchitra was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra into a Telugu speaking family to V. Krishnamoorthi, former commissioner of income tax and Dr Sulochana Krishnamoorthi, a historian and a professor. Haseena Moin
Haseena Moin (20 November 1941 – 26 March 2021) was a Pakistani dramatist, playwright and scriptwriter. She wrote several plays for stage, radio, and television. She was the recipient of the Pride of Performance award for her services to the performing arts in Pakistan. She wrote Pakistan's first original script ''Kiran Kahani'' aired in the early-1970s. Before this, PTV relied on novel-based scripts for dramas. She was considered to be the best playwright and dramatist Pakistan has ever witnessed. Doordarshan
Doordarshan (abbreviated as DD; Hindi: , ) is an Indian public service broadcaster founded by the Government of India, owned by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and one of Prasar Bharati's two divisions. One of India's largest broadcasting organisations in studio and transmitter infrastructure, it was established on 15 September 1959. Doordarshan, which also broadcasts on digital terrestrial transmitters, provides television, radio, online and mobile service throughout metropolitan and regional India and overseas.
