Karsten Koch (born 22 February 1977) is a German professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Koch first qualified for a PDC European Tour event in 2019, when he qualified for the 2019 German Darts Open, but he lost to Vincent van der Meer 6-4 in the first round. He also qualified for the 2019 European Darts Matchplay, and beat Maik Kuivenhoven in his opener but then lost to Ricky Evans (darts player), Ricky Evans in the second round. 2019 European Darts Matchplay
The 2019 European Darts Matchplay was the eleventh of thirteen PDC European Tour events on the 2019 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at the Maimarkthalle, Mannheim, Germany, from 6–8 September 2019. It featured a field of 48 players and £140,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. Michael van Gerwen was the defending champion after defeating William O'Connor 8–2 in the previous year's final. Van Gerwen reached a third European Tour final in five events, but lost in his third successive final appearance as Joe Cullen won his first stage title with an 8–5 success. In 2017, he qualified for the 2017 Austrian Darts Open The 2017 Austrian Darts Open was the seventh of twelve PDC European Tour events on the 2017 PDC Pro Tour. Ricky Evans (darts Player)
Ricky Evans (born 29 July 1990) is an English professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation events. Career From 2007 to 2012 Evans attempted to qualify for each BDO World Championship but was unsuccessful. In 2011, Evans won a PDC Youth Tour event by beating David Coyne 4–1 in the final. He has played in the World Masters five times with his best finish coming in 2012 where he lost in the last 48 to James Wilson. In 2013, Evans played in the Qualifying School to earn a tour card for the Professional Darts Corporation events and succeeded on the first day. Less than two months later he reached the quarter-finals of a PDC Pro Tour event for the first time by beating Gary Anderson 6–5 in the last 16 of the second UK Open Qualifier, before he lost 6–3 to Peter Wright. Maik Kuivenhoven (born 25 September 1988) is a Dutch professional darts player currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career In 2018, he qualified for his first PDC European Tour event, when he won one of the eight West/South European qualifying slots for the 2018 German Darts Open. PDC European Tour
The PDC European Tour is a series of darts tournaments held across Europe organized by the Professional Darts Corporation. Starting in 2012 with five events, the number of events has steadily risen with eight held in 2013 and 2014, nine in 2015, ten in 2016, twelve in 2017, thirteen in both 2018 and 2019, and thirteen once more in 2020 (although that was reduced to four, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic), and only two events took place in 2021, with a return to thirteen events in 2022. These events see the top players on the PDC ProTour Order of Merit compete against players from six different regional qualifiers. Currently the prize fund for each tournament is £140,000, with £25,000 going to the winner. The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) is a professional darts organisation in the United Kingdom, established in 1992 when a group of leading players split from the British Darts Organisation (BDO) to form what was initially called the World Darts Council (WDC). Sports promoter Eddie Hearn is the PDC chairman.
