Karoline Prize
The Karoline Prize is a Norwegian prize awarded annually to students in upper secondary school who combine good school results with top achievements in sports, art, and culture. The prize was originally created by Wang Handelsskole og Gymnas, and was set at Norwegian krone, NOK 15,000. As of 2020, the prize is NOK 20,000 and is awarded by Wang sports school. The prize was first awarded in 1988 to Karoline Krüger, and has since been named the Karoline Prize. Norwegian Krone
The krone (, abbreviation: kr (also NKr for distinction); code: NOK), plural ''kroner'', is currency of the Kingdom of Norway (including Svalbard). Traditionally known as the Norwegian crown in English. It is nominally subdivided into 100 '' øre'', although the last coins denominated in øre were withdrawn in 2012. The krone was the thirteenth-most-traded currency in the world by value in April 2010, down three positions from 2007. Isabelle Pedersen
Isabelle Pedersen (born January 27, 1992) is a Norwegian hurdling athlete. At the 2010 World Junior Championships, she won a gold medal in the 100 metres hurdles. Career At the 2009 World Youth Championships, Pedersen became the world champion in the 100 metres hurdles (76.2 cm) in a time of 13.23. In the semifinals, she ran a 13.20 which was a European record for U18 class until 2011. At the 2010 World Junior Championships, Pedersen won the 100 meters hurdles in a time of 13.30 and in the process set a new Norwegian junior record. She was awarded the Karoline Price the same year. The following year, Pedersen won silver in the 100 meters hurdles at the 2011 European Junior Championships. Helene Marie Fossesholm (born 31 May 2001) is a Norwegian cross-country skier who competes for Eiker Skiklubb. Birk Ruud
Birk Ruud (born 2 April 2000) is a Norwegian freestyle skier in halfpipe and slopestyle and Olympic champion in big air. In 2016, he won Gold (Slopestyle) at the Winter Youth Olympics at Lillehammer. He participated at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2019, winning the silver medal in the slopestyle event. He has won 4 medals (including 2 golds) in X Games (Norway 2018, Aspen 2019, Aspen 2020, Norway 2020). During the 2022 Winter Olympics, Ruud qualified first in the inaugural big air event. Jakob Ingebrigtsen (born 19 September 2000) is a Norwegian middle- and long-distance runner. He won the gold medal in the 1500 metres at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, setting an Olympic and European record. Grace Jacob Bullen (born 7 February 1997) is a Norwegian freestyle wrestler. She won the silver medal in the 59kg event at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia. Johannes Thingnes Bø (born 16 May 1993) is a Norwegian biathlete. He is the younger brother of biathlete Tarjei Bø. Sverre Lunde Pedersen (; born 17 July 1992) is a Norwegian speed skater. He is the son of former speed-skater Jarle Pedersen.
