Karl Goehring
Karl Goehring (born August 23, 1978, in Apple Valley, Minnesota) is a retired American professional ice hockey goaltender who was most recently an assistant coach with the UND Fighting Hawks of the NCHC. He led Apple Valley High School to a win in the 1996 Minnesota State High School League Boys' Hockey Tournament. He also led the University of North Dakota to a win in the 2000 NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Championship. Playing career Goehring played four seasons for the Syracuse Crunch in the AHL, and following the abrupt departure of Tim Thomas from Jokerit in the Finnish SM-liiga, he signed with Jokerit for the 2005–06 season. Goehring was recommended to Jokerit management by Tim Thomas as a winning goaltender, but Goehring played a disappointing early season and was taken off goaltending duties in November. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (sometimes known as the WBS Penguins) are a professional ice hockey team based in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) is a voluntary, non-profit association for the support and governance of interscholastic activities at high schools in Minnesota, United States. The association supports interscholastic athletics and fine arts programs for member schools. Membership includes nearly 500 schools, including special schools, home schools, and 435 high schools. Western Collegiate Hockey Association
The Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) is a college ice hockey conference which operates in the Midwestern United States. It participates in the NCAA's Division I as a women's-only conference. From 1951 to 1999, it operated as a men-only league, adding women's competition in the 1999–2000 season. It operated men's and women's leagues through the 2020–21 season; during this period, the men's WCHA expanded to include teams far removed from its traditional Midwestern base, with members in Alabama, Alaska, and Colorado at different times. Dane Jackson (ice Hockey)
Dane K. Jackson (born May 17, 1970) is a Canadian coach and former professional ice hockey right wing who is currently head coach of the University of North Dakota men's ice hockey team. He spent parts of four seasons in the National Hockey League between 1993 and 1998. Selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft, he spent four years at the University of North Dakota before making his professional debut for the Canucks' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate in 1992. Jackson made his NHL debut in 1993, and would split the next two seasons between the Canucks and their AHL affiliates, the Hamilton Canucks and Syracuse Crunch. The Liiga, colloquially called the Finnish Elite League in English or FM-ligan in Swedish, is the top professional ice hockey league in Finland. The league comprises 16 teams from all around Finland with relegation and promotion between the Mestis. The winner of the Liiga playoffs is awarded the Kanada-malja at the end of each season.
