Karl Frank Klein
Karl Frank Klein (October 17, 1922 – June 22, 2006) was an educator, farmer and political figure in Saskatchewan. He represented Notukeu-Willow Bunch from 1956 to 1964 in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan as a Liberal. He was born in Lafleche, Saskatchewan. Klein served overseas as a wireless operator in the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II. Notukeu-Willow Bunch
Notukeu-Willow Bunch was a provincial electoral division for the Legislative Assembly of the province of Saskatchewan, Canada, located south of Old Wives Lake. Centered on the town of Assiniboia, this constituency was created for the 8th Saskatchewan general election in 1938 by combining the districts of Notukeu and Willow Bunch. The constituency was dissolved and divided between the districts of Assiniboia-Gravelbourg and Bengough-Milestone before the 18th Saskatchewan general election in 1975. Legislative Assembly Of Saskatchewan
The Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan is the legislative chamber of the Saskatchewan Legislature in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Bills passed by the assembly are given royal assent by the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, in the name of the King in Right of Saskatchewan. The assembly meets at the Saskatchewan Legislative Building in Regina. There are 61 constituencies in the province, which elect members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to the Legislative Assembly. All are single-member districts, though the cities of Regina, Saskatoon and Moose Jaw were in the past represented through multi-member districts, with members elected through Block Voting. Saskatchewan Liberal Party
The Saskatchewan Liberal Party is a liberal political party in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. The party was the provincial affiliate of the Liberal Party of Canada until 2009. It was previously one of the two largest parties in the province, along with the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party and its precursors on its left, before being eclipsed by the Progressive Conservative Party of Saskatchewan from the right and later deserted by several members who contributed to the establishment of the Saskatchewan Party, the new centre-right dominant in the province since 1997. Lafleche, Saskatchewan
Lafleche is a small town in southwest Saskatchewan, Canada in the Rural Municipality of Wood River No. 74. The community is located at the intersection of Highway 13 and Highway 58. It is 20 km south of Gravelbourg and 45 km west of Assiniboia. It is situated on the south bank of Lafleche Creek, which is a tributary of Wood River. Thomson Lake Regional Park is located 10 minutes north of town. History The village of Buffalo Head started to form one and a half miles east of the present townsite with the arrival of settlers in 1905. The name was changed to Lafleche in honour of Louis-François Richer Laflèche.
