Karim Abdel Gawad
Karim Abdel Gawad (; born 30 July 1991) is an Egyptian professional squash player. He is a former world individual champion and world number 1 and a three-times world team champion. Career In November 2016, he won the 2016 World Open Squash Championship in Cairo in Egypt against Ramy Ashour. He became the third Egyptian to win the World Championship after Amr Shabana and Ashour. He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 1 in May 2017. Later in 2017, he was part of the Egyptian team that won the 2017 Men's World Team Squash Championships in France and repeated the success with Egypt at the 2019 Men's World Team Squash Championships in the United States. In 2020, he suffered a major injury during the final of the 2020 Manchester Open. He damaged his heel, which eventually led to ten months out of squash and his world ranking plummeted as a result. 2017 Men's World Team Squash Championships
The 2017 Men's World Team Squash Championships was the men's edition of the 2017 World Squash Team Championships, world men's team championship, which serves as the world team championship for Squash (sport), squash players. The event was held in Marseille, France, from November 26 to December 3, 2017. The tournament is organized by the World Squash Federation and the French Squash Federation. Marwan Hossam El Shorbagy (born 30 July 1993) is an Egyptian-English professional squash player. He is a former world team champion and reached his career-high ranking reaching World No. 3 in May 2018, while playing for his native Egypt. He won the World Juniors in 2011 & 2012 and became the third player in history to win the World Junior twice. The 2020 Men's PSA World Series Finals was the men's edition of the PSA World Tour Finals (Prize money : $185,000). The top 8 players in the 2019–20 PSA World Tour are qualified for the event. PSA World Tour Finals
The PSA Squash Tour Finals is the end of season championship of the PSA Squash Tour of male and female professional squash players. The top eight players in the current PSA World Events ranking is qualified for the event. The eight players compete in two groups of four and play a round robin to determine the semi-finalists. The competition then becomes a knock-out competition to determine the World Series Finals champions. The event has been staged since 1993 in Zürich, Hatfield, London and Manchester and then London again before switching to Dubai in 2016. The event has prize money of $160,000. In 2012 the event added a women's section 2011 and 2013 has seen the women compete again during the day session, with the men competing in the evening session.
