Killer Activation Receptors (KARs) are receptors expressed on the plasma membrane (cell membrane) of Natural Killer cells (NK cells). KARs work together with Killer Inhibitory Receptors (abbreviated as KIRs in the text), which inactivate KARs in order to regulate the NK cells functions on hosted or transformed cells. These receptors have a broad binding specificity and are able to broadcast opposite signals. It is the balance between these competing signals that determines if the cytotoxic activity of the NK cell and apoptosis of distressed cell occurs. ''Kirby Air Ride'' is a 2003 Racing game, racing video game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the GameCube. The Karen () or Karenic languages are tonal languages spoken by some 4.5 million Karen people. They are of unclear affiliation within the Sino-Tibetan languages. The compiled inscriptions also form one of the main primary sources for the tablets used in reconstructing the famous creation epic, the Enuma Elish. King's African Rifles
The King's African Rifles (KAR) was a British Colonial Auxiliary Forces regiment raised from Britain's East African colonies in 1902. It primarily carried out internal security duties within these colonies along with military service elsewhere during the world wars and other conflicts, such as the Malayan Emergency and the Mau Mau uprising. The regiment's enlisted soldiers were drawn from the native Africans, while most officers were seconded from the British Army. During the 1960s, as part of the decolonisation of Africa, more African officers were commissioned into the regiment before it was gradually disbanded.
