Anthony Kappes
Anthony Edward Kappes MBE (born 1 March 1973) is an English road and track racing cyclist and Paralympian. Biography Born in Stockport, Cheshire, Kappes is partially sighted and competes in the B&VI 1–3 class. He is the current World record holder for 200 metres, along with his pilot Barney Storey. Storey and Kappes became the first Paralympic team to hold the able-bodied British National Tandem Sprint Championships title in 2006. Kappes, began working with a new tandem pilot internationally in 2008, Jon Norfolk sacrificed his career as a member of Great Britain's able-bodied squad in order to work with Paralympians, and had to take a three-year break from competition in order to qualify. Kappes and Norfolk beat Simon Jackson and Storey to win the sprint and kilo (Achieving Worlds Best - 1.02.06) events at the 2008 VISA Paralympic World Cup. Andreas Kappes
Andreas Kappes (23 December 1965 – 31 July 2018) was a German cyclist, who was a professional from 1987 to 2009, active on the road and on the track, collecting in total 133 wins, and, as an amateur, represented West Germany at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. During the first half of his career he mainly raced on the road, eventually resulting in 99 wins, including winning Omloop het Volk (1991), Tour de l'Oise (1991), three stages in the Tour de Suisse (1989, 1994), two stages in Paris–Nice (1988, 1991) and one stage in the 1988 Giro d'Italia. During the second half of his career he limited his activities on the road to mainly German criteriums as well as kermesses, which make up the chief part of his wins on the road. Bob Kappes
Bob Kappes is a former American football player and coach. He served as the interim head football coach at Ohio University for one season, in 1978, compiling a record of 3–8. Kappes played college football at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio under head coaches Woody Hayes and Sid Gillman. After graduating from Miami in 1950, Kappes became the head football coach that fall at Western Hills High School in Cincinnati, Ohio.
