Heinie Kappel
Henry "Heinie" Kappel (September 1863 – August 27, 1905) was an American infielder. He played professional baseball for eleven years from 1884 to 1895, including three seasons in Major League Baseball with the Cincinnati Red Stockings (1887–1888) and Columbus Solons (1889). Formative years and family Kappel was born in Philadelphia in 1863. He began playing professional baseball in 1884 for the New Castle Neshannocks. He continued in the minor leagues for the Augusta Browns and Wilmington Blue Hens in 1885 and the Augusta Browns, Chattanooga Lookouts, and Syracuse Stars in 1886. Kappel's brother Joe Kappel also played in Major League Baseball. Career Kappel made his major-league debut in 1887 with the Cincinnati Red Stockings. Vladimir Oskarovich Kappel (; – January 26, 1920) was a Russian military leader and one of the leaders of the White movement. Early life Kappel was born into a Swedish-Russian family. He graduated from the Saint Petersburg Page Corps and then from the and Nicholas Academy of General Staff. World War I During the First World War of 1914-1918, Kappel was Chief of the 347th Infantry Regiment's Staff and an officer in the 1st Army's Staff. He began as the Staff of the Army Corps. In February 1915 he was transferred to the front at the headquarters of the Fifth Division of Don Cossacks. He stayed at that post until his promotion to the rank of staff captain. He participated in the planning of the Brusilov offensive of 1916, the most successful Russian offensive of the war. Rudi Kappel
Ronald "Rudi" Elwin Kappel (8 November 1926 – 6 October 1959) was a Surinamese pilot. He was one of the founders of ''Luchtvaartbedrijf Kappel-Van Eyck'' which is now called Surinam Airways, the first airline in Suriname. He also helped construct the Zorg en Hoop Airport, and the Rudi Kappel Airstrip. Kappel died in an air crash near Paloemeu. Biography Kappel was born on 8 November 1926 in Port of Spain, Trinidad. Both his parents were from Suriname. He went to the United States and obtained his pilot licence in 1948. In 1950, Kappel met Leendert Jägers, director of Ypenburg Airport near the Hague, with whom he had wanted to establish the first Surinamese airline company. Niko Kappel (born 1 March 1995) is a German Paralympic athlete of short stature. He represented Germany at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and he won the gold medal in the men's shot put F41 event. Hugh Kappel (born 1910 Berlin – 1982) was an American artist. Life He received an M.A. in philosophy. He studied at Parisian art schools. He immigrated to New York City in 1938. In 1940, he became an American citizen. In 1940, he met Anne Heyneman; they married; they had a daughter, Karen, in 1946; but divorced. He taught at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. She sang at the Metropolitan Opera and at the Royal Opera House during her career, and was known for her Wagnerian and Strauss roles.
