Kaoru Dill-Ishibashi (born November 4, 1975), who performs as Kishi Bashi, is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and Emmy-nominated award winning filmmaker currently based in Athens, Georgia. Kaoru Shima (Japanese –島薫)(1897–1977) was a Japanese physician. He was the first director of Shima Hospital, located at the hypocenter of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. He is known as the "father of the Hiroshima Surgical Society". Early life and education Kaoru Shima was born in Aki District at 1897. He graduated from Hiroshima Kokutaiji High School in 1917. Other graduates in the same year included Tadanori Nagayama and Shizuo Miyama. Shima entered Osaka Medical College in 1924. He then continued to study and train in Germany and the United States. Kaoru Otsuki (; 6 August 1888 – 21 December 1970) was a Japanese woman known for being the second wife of Sun Yat-sen, the founder and first president of the Republic of China. Biography Kaoru was born in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, on 6 August 1888. Kaoru first met Sun Yat-sen in Yokohama's Chinatown in 1898, when she knocked over a vase and apologized to Sun. In 1901, Sun asked Kaoru's father for permission to marry his daughter, but Kaoru's father refused because of the great age difference between Sun and Kaoru; at the time, Sun was 37 while Kaoru was only 13. is a lawyer and former Justice of the Supreme Court of Japan. She was born on February 7, 1949. In 1973, she earned her law degree from the University of Tokyo.
