Adam Kantor (born May 27, 1986) is an American actor and singer. He is best known for his roles on Broadway theatre, Broadway, most notably Mark Cohen in the closing cast of ''Rent (musical), Rent'', which was captured in ''Rent: Filmed Live on Broadway'', Motel in the 2015 revival of ''Fiddler on the Roof'', and as an original cast member in ''The Band's Visit (musical), The Band's Visit''. Roman Kantor
Roman Józef Kantor (15 March 1912 – 1943) was a Polish Olympic épée fencer. Early life Kantor was born in Łódź, Poland, and was Jewish. He was the son of Elchanan and Barbara (née Bekier) Kantor. After finishing local primary school, he left for Paris in 1924 to continue his education. He played tennis and was captain of the school soccer team. Fencing career He also started to train in fencing. Shortly after, he received 3rd place in fencing at the academic championship of Paris, and 6th place at the Open Championship of France in 1929. He then trained in England from 1931–32 under the supervision of fencer Lefevre’a, and in Germany under the supervision of Italian coach Gatzera. In 1934 he returned to Łódź and joined the fencing section of the Army Sport Club, twice winning the team title of City Champion. William Kantor
William M. Kantor (born September 19, 1944) is an American mathematician who works in finite group theory and finite geometries, particularly in computational aspects of these subjects. Education and career Kantor graduated with a bachelor's degree from Brooklyn College in 1964. He went on to graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin, receiving his PhD in 1968 under the supervision of Peter Dembowski and R. H. Bruck. He then worked at the University of Illinois at Chicago from 1968 to 1971 before moving in 1971 to the University of Oregon, where he remained for the rest of his career. Kantor's research mostly involves finite groups, often in relation to finite geometries and computation. Algorithms developed by him have found use, for example, in the GAP computer algebra system. Viatcheslav Moshe Kantor (, born 8 September 1953) is a Russian, British and Israeli businessman described as an oligarch, who serves as President of the European Jewish Congress (EJC), President of the World Holocaust Forum Foundation (WHF) and Chairman of the European Jewish Fund (EJF). Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, he has been placed on various sanctions lists as a result of which he had temporarily stopped leading the EJC. In 2025, he was removed from the EU and Swiss sanctions list and was elected President of the European Jewish Congress for a fifth term. Tadeusz Kantor (6 April 1915 – 8 December 1990) was a Polish painter, assemblage and Happenings artist, set designer and theatre director. Kantor is renowned for his revolutionary theatrical performances in Poland and abroad. Laureate of Witkacy Prize – Critics' Circle Award (1989). Sharon Kantor (; born 28 January 2003) is an Israeli world champion and Olympic windsurfer. Competing in the IQFoil class, she won the silver medal at the 2023 European Championships, and the gold medal at the 2024 World Championships. Frederick Kantor (July 19, 1942 – May 15, 2020) was an American physicist and inventor. He is known for his early work on digital physics, originally coined by Kantor as ''information mechanics'' which described "previously thought dissimilar phenomena, such as the fine structure constant (on the scale of the very small) and cosmological red shift (on the scale of the very large)".
