Jiandao or Chientao, known in Korean as Gando or Kando, is a historical border region along the north bank of the Tumen River in Jilin, Jilin Province, Northeast China that has a high population of ethnic Koreans. The word "Jiandao", literally "Middle Island", originally referred to a shoal in Tumen River between today's Chuankou Village, Kaishantun in Longjing, Jilin, Longjing, Jilin, China and Chongsŏng, Onsong County in North Korea. Kwantung Leased Territory
The Kwantung Leased Territory () was a Concessions in China, leased territory of the Empire of Japan in the Liaodong Peninsula from 1905 to 1945. Japan first acquired Kwantung from the Qing dynasty, Qing Empire in perpetuity in 1895 in the Treaty of Shimonoseki after victory in the First Sino-Japanese War. Kwantung was located at the militarily and economically significant southern tip of the Liaodong Peninsula at the entrance of the Bohai Sea, and included the port city of Lüshunkou, Ryojun (Port Arthur/Lüshunkou). Kanto () is a popular genre of Turkish music. Terminology Italian opera and theater had a profound effect on Turkish culture during the early 20th century. The terminology of music and theater derived from Italian. In the argot of the improvisational theater of Istanbul the stage was called ''sahano'', backstage was referred to as ''koyuntu'', backdrops depicting countryside as ''bosko'', the applause as ''furi'', and the songs sung as solos or duets between the acts and plays were called ''kanto''.
