Deutz AG is a German internal combustion engine manufacturer, based in Porz, Cologne, Germany. SBB-CFF-FFS E 3/3
The E 3/3 is a classification used by the Swiss Federal Railways for 0-6-0T shunting locomotives. They were originally delivered to the Swiss Central Railway and the Jura-Simplon Railway, before being absorbed into SBB in 1902, who ordered 83 more locomotives of similar design. Background In 1902, the SBB inherited a total of 66 shunting steam locomotives of the E 3/3 type from its predecessor railways. Of these, three were from the United Swiss Railways (Nos. 8395–8397), 36 from the Swiss Central Railway (Nos. 8398, 8399, 8401–8425, 8581–8589 ), 16 from the Jura-Simplon Railway (Nos. 8431–8440, 8571–8576) and 11 from the Swiss Northeastern Railway (Nos. 8551–8559, 8661, 8662). Prussian T 3
The Prussian Class T 3 steam locomotives procured for the Prussian state railways were 0-6-0 tank locomotives. Together with the Prussian T 2 they were the first locomotives that were built to railway norms. The first units were delivered by Henschel in 1882. Design The T 3s had a wet steam engine with two cylinders that drove the centre coupled axle. The slide valves were worked by an outside Allan valve gear. The water supply was stored in a well tank between the frame under the boiler; the coal bunkers were on the left and right hand side of the firebox. In front of each one was a filler pipe for the water tank. The springs on both front axles were linked with equalising beams located above the running plate. The early T 3s did not have a steam dome, but were equipped with a regulator housing on top, from which the admission pipes led directly to the cylinders outside the boiler. The eurovapor is a European society of railway fans dedicated to the preservation of steam locomotives and historic railway vehicles. History ''eurovapor'' stands for the ''Europäische Vereinigung zur betriebsfähigen Erhaltung von Dampflokomotiven und historischem Eisenbahnmaterial which means 'European Society for Preservation of Working Steam Locomotives and Historic Railway Stock'. Baron Moritz von Cohn (19 September 1812 - 29 April 1900) was a German-Jewish private banker. Cohn was born in Wörlitz, in the Duchy of Anhalt-Dessau.
