Kanazawa University
Kanazawa University (, abbreviated to ) is a Japanese Japanese national university, national university in the city of Kanazawa, Ishikawa, Kanazawa, the capital of Ishikawa Prefecture. The university was founded in 1949, although it can trace its roots back to 1862. Kanazawa University is divided into two main campuses: Kakuma and Takaramachi. University enrollment is about 10,100 students, including 636 international students in 2021. History The university was founded in 1862 as an institution for smallpox vaccination (種痘 所, Shutō-sho ) called , which was established by the Kaga Domain. In 1876 it became a medical school funded by Ishikawa Prefecture. Platonic Academy
The Academy (), variously known as Plato's Academy, or the Platonic Academy, was founded in Classical Athens, Athens by Plato ''wikt:circa, circa'' 387 BC. The academy is regarded as the first institution of higher education in the west, where subjects as diverse as biology, geography, astronomy, mathematics, history, and many more were taught and investigated. Yoshihisa Okumura
Yoshihisa Okumura (; 2 July 1926 – 18 February 2023) was a Japanese engineer, known for development of radio propagation models, cellular telephone networks. His radio survey of signal strength as a function of distance as measured in drive tests in automobiles was critical to the system planning of mobile radio telephone systems. Professional career Okumura was born in Isikawa Prefecture on 2 July 1926. He studied electrical engineering at Kanazawa Technical College (金沢工業専門学校 Kanazawa kōgyō senmon gakkō, formerly the faculty of engineering of Kanazawa University) from 1944 to 1947. Okumura began his professional career in 1950 with Nippon Telegraph and Telephone, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation (NTT, now privatised), where he collected radio propagation data in the 150 to 1920 MHz bands. Theoretical physics is a branch of physics that employs mathematical models and abstractions of physical objects and systems to rationalize, explain, and predict natural phenomena. This is in contrast to experimental physics, which uses experimental tools to probe these phenomena. Yoshio Koide
is a Japanese theoretical physicist working in particle physics. Koide is known for his eponymous Koide formula, which some physicists think has great importance but which other physicists contend is merely a numerical coincidence. A manga artist, also known as a mangaka (), is a Cartoonist, comic artist who writes and/or illustrates manga. Most manga artists study at an art college or manga school or take on an apprenticeship with another artist before entering the industry as a primary creator. More rarely a manga artist breaks into the industry directly, without previously being an assistant.
