Kanamala
Kanamala (), commonly known by the name Pambavalley, is a village in Erumely panchayath in Kanjirappally tehsil of Kottayam district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is situated in the border of Kottayam and Pathanamthitta districts, but officially recorded as a part of Kottayam district only. Etymology The name ''Pambavalley'' derived from two words ''Pamba'' and ''valley'', which denotes a place situated on the banks of holy Pamba River, Pamba river. Economy Kanamala is a rural remote hilly area where rubber is the most cultivated crop. Many rubber plantations are located here. People also engages in small scale cultivation of black pepper, pepper and tapioca. Thulappally
Thulappally is a small village in Perunad panchayath of Ranni, Kerala, Ranni tehsil in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala state, India. Etymology It is believed that in ancient times there were many small churches in the forest regions including Nilakkal and Thulappally as a result by the visit of Thomas the Apostle, St. Thomas in 52 AD. Erumely
Erumely, also spelled Erumeli, is a town and panchayat located in the south-eastern part of Kottayam district in Kerala, India. Erumely is situated east of Kottayam town and north of the state capital Thiruvananthapuram. The village is on the banks of the Manimala River. Demographics Indian census, Erumely had a population of 43,437, of whom 21,199 were males and 22,230 were females. The sex ratio is 1,049 females per 1,000 males, which is lower than the state average of 1,084. The literacy rate for males is 97.53%, while for females, it is 95.71%. Oomman Chandy
Oommen Chandy (31 October 1942 – 18 July 2023) was an Indian lawyer and statesman who served as the 10th chief minister of Kerala, serving from 2004 to 2006 and 2011 to 2016. He served also as the leader of the opposition in the Kerala Legislative Assembly from 2006 to 2011. He represented Puthuppally constituency as a member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the State Assembly from 1970 until his death in 2023, making him the longest-serving member of the Kerala Legislature Assembly. The Sabarimala Sree Dharma Sastha Temple () is a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Ayyappan, who is also known as Dharma Shasta and is the son of the deities Shiva and Mohini (female avatar of the god Vishnu).
